This old-school steakhouse with contemporary touches serves prime beef with all the trimmings.

Last night Teresa, Claire, and I had an absolutely outstanding experience at Omaha Prime Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm, inviting, and upscale without feeling pretentious. It set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable evening.
Every part of the meal was exceptional. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, and the sides complemented everything beautifully. You can tell they take pride in quality and presentation.
What really elevated the night was the service. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We never felt rushed, and every detail was handled with care.
Omaha Prime delivered a true 5-star experience for our family. Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back.

Outstanding steak joint in a funky old building. Had the best steak I’ve had in a very long time (possibly the best ever). The atmosphere was reserved but friendly, and the service was excellent.

I travel frequently and do a lot of client dinners, typically in steak houses. Every one of them offers USDA Prime grade steaks, so there’s nothing exceptional or special about that. The main issue with Omaha Prime was the chaotic service experience. It felt more like a family run business, everyone doing every. We had a 7:15 dinner reservation. We arrived 10 mins early, in a downstairs lobby with a bar but no bar service, which seemed really odd, a lousy way to start a Friday night out. We then waited at least 25 mins to be seated upstairs. We had a friendly waiter who did everything, no support staff, odd for a what claims to be a high end establishment. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about; crab cakes were solid; NY strip decent; Chilean sea bass was good. The service is totally unrefined. Dinner for two: $186. Value assessment: 2 out of 5. There has to be better options in Omaha.

Wonderful experience and couldn’t be more pleased. We both had the prime, grass fed filet’s and shared the hash browns and lobster mac & cheese for dinner and finished with bread pudding for dessert. Service, atmosphere and food are all top tier. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Extremely rude waiter and manager! We had 630pm dinner reservations on a Friday night. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes before being seated. After we were seated, no one greeted us or offered us drinks. About 15 min later a hostess came and took our drink orders, I ordered water and my husband coffee (which we never received). We watched our sever literally greet and get drinks for 3 other tables that had been seated after us; yet, we didn’t even have menus. 2 of those tables had 7pm reservations, I know because my husband asked them. Once our serve finally came to take our drink order, by then it was about 715. I politely brought up my concern to him. For us to have a 630 reservation and here it was 45 min later and hadn’t even received drinks nor menus, and him servicing other tables without even greeting us. He cut me off and told me “that’s not accurate” and stormed off. He returned with menus and an argumentative approach complaining about how they gave him 3 additional tables even though he told the hostess he was busy. I politely asked to speak to a manager. By this time it is nearly 730. Shortly after some woman storms up to our table, places both hands on the table and asks “is your server ***”? No introduction or anything. I asked if she was the manager and she rudely said yes and repeated her question. I answered and went to explain our concerns and she too cut me off and said “well he’s new”. I gave lots of empathy and told her, “I get it, it’s a Friday night and you’re busy, but here is my concern”. She cut me off again, and continued in a rude manner, “we’ll get you dessert tonight” and stormed off. We walked out after that. Very disappointing to receive such poor service at a place that’s $100 per plate. As a manager, she should have listened to our concerns rather than justifying her server’s behaviors by saying he’s new. If he’s new, then as a good manager, wouldn’t you want to know a customer’s concern so you can help your staff grow in their role?

Probably the worst filet I’ve ever had in my life, broccoli that looked and tasted like it was out a bag, and horrendous service.
Look at the color on the filet pic. Ordered medium rare and it was tougher than nails.

We wanted to enjoy a really good steak dinner but unfortunately did not have a good experience. The wine menu was not very good for a supposed high end restaurant. They brought around a cart with sample steaks that they claim were fresh, but they were wrapped in plastic wrap and one of the “specials”
was frozen. We ordered a filet and a ribeye both mid-rare and the filet came out medium to well down. They did take that back to remake it and it came back out rare. The waiter told us next time to order it rare, if we wanted mid-rare. The ribeye was also overcooked and we were looking at it with a phone flashlight and they said that isn’t accurate lighting and took it back to the kitchen, just to return and say it was cooked correctly. Then the waiter came and checked with a Bic lighter and also said it seemed ok. We ordered the Truffle mashed potatoes and they had no flavor and tasted like they were instant potatoes. They did remove the couple of drinks which was appreciated but having the steaks cooked correctly would have been better. The only positive was the old building makes for a cool atmosphere.

There are only aged steaks on the menu- although this is not mentioned anywhere on the menu. I definitely should have asked before coming in. Being pregnant it means I could only eat the steaks well done because of them being aged- which ruined my entire night.
I did have to get different item that was very good but it was not what I wanted at all. There needs to be better communication that it is exclusively aged steaks. Everyone else enjoyed their steaks.

Omaha was our first stop on a week long road trip with our little dog, Buddy. We stopped at Omaha Prime for dinner, and explained we had our dog with us. Even though it wasn’t set up, the host (and our server!) Neil set up a table for us up front and we proceeded to have a lovely meal to start the trip! All the food was delicious! We had the shrimp cocktail, Omaha Prime Salad (at Neil’s recommendation) and then some of the BEST steaks we’d ever eaten. All the while Neil was the kindest and most helpful server–he really went above and beyond and gave us the best experience to start our trip!

At this price point, one is better off going to 801 Chophouse or even Le Bouillon or La Buvette. Scallops were poorly cooked. Stuffed shrimp were undercooked and blue crab filling more breading than crab. Maybe at one point it was better but now is a different story.
