Visited OM Indian Cuisine in Portage La Prairie all the way from Brandon — 101% worth it!
Tried Paneer Chilli, Chicken Seekh Kebab, and Rasmalai— each dish was unforgettable.
Absolutely loved the smoky way of hot food serving— added so much flavor and flair.
The Paneer Chilli was perfectly spiced, and the kebab was juicy and tender.
Rasmalai was the best I’ve ever had — soft, sweet, and full of flavor.
Service was warm and friendly — staff made us feel right at home.
The cozy, clean environment added to the whole experience.
Everything exceeded expectations — food, service, and atmosphere.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves real Indian food.
Will definitely be visiting again — a true hidden gem!

Pretty good portion size, and everything tasted pretty good. Was honestly surprisef by the metal tray but it allowed for a nice meal presentation. Got the lamb thali special (with lamb curry). Pricing is okay, being 19.49 + tax and tip.

I went to this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The Indian food was absolutely delicious, and the buffet offered a wide variety of tasty options. The environment was very clean and welcoming, making for an excellent dining experience.
I have to highlight the food as top notch and the coconut naan—it was truly to die for! Additionally, one of my guests ordered the fish curry (not part of the buffet), and it was an A+ dish!
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. I can’t wait to return!

I wanted to share how impressed I am with this restaurant… My family and I found this restaurant 2 years ago as we go to swim twice a year in PLP…. we’ve been impressed with the delicious food, clean atmosphere, buffet items are fresh and replaced quickly upon need or request.
I even called one evening to ask for instructions on how to make their mango custard for a small dinner party I was a part of.. they happily assisted me, gave me tricks, tips to help and I was so impressed and my custard turned out great!
We look forward to going back yearly!

We were greeted at the door by the owner who is very welcoming. She was also very friendly and attentive while serving us, and we also enjoyed chatting with her afterwards. We selected the buffet, which had a large selection of interesting dishes to choose from along with two dessert options. All the food was fresh and hot, mildly spiced and very flavourful. The mango dessert was very tasty. Everything we tried was delicious. Pricing was reasonable.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated, clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere. This was our first time here, we had an enjoyable dining experience and were impressed with everything. Can’t wait until when next in Portage, as we plan to revisit here to try some other dishes. I highly recommend dining here!

Delicious food, amazing service and lovely staff. First time I’ve ate so much at a restaurant. I had ordered Shahi Paneer and Garlic Naan, it tasted really good and it melted in my mouth. I never expected A naan to ever melt, but it did. It was so soft. And the portion for shahi paneer was perfect for me as well. The interior was nice, and spacious. Temperature was a little cold on the inside but I went during a severe snow storm so it was almost expected. The lady that served me was lovely and genuinely kind. Overall, would definitely keep coming here.

A nice peaceful ambience with lips-smacking dishes. Food felt like home more than a restaurant. I got masala papad, garlic naan, panner lababdar, dry munchurian and mango lassi. My husband got the buffet with a wide variety of food options, all fresh and delicious.
The customer service was the best I have experienced in a long time at a restaurant. Warm, welcoming caring and courteous. The new owners really put their heart and soul when cooking and serving. If you are in Portage or passing through it is a must-try.
