Hungry? Do you want a great meal in a calm and cool environment?
Olympia is the place!
They make their bread and sauces from scratch and it is divine!
The restaurant is clean.
The staff is friendly.
They have booths and tables.
The food came out fast.
We had:
Salad- freshly cut w/red French dressing
Chicken Alfredo
Chicken parmigiana
Home made fresh bread w/real butter.
I definitely recommend Olympia- they were perfect.

Place was clean. Food came out in a timely manner. We seen a young waitress pour coffee 2 tables behind us passed us and did not ask if we wanted a warm up. We had to flag our waitress for a warm up. She was coming to our table as we were asking for a warm up and she said she was coming but had no pot of coffee in her hand turned and went in the back and made a pot of coffee. Food was delivered and never asked if we wanted a warm up on our coffee until we were were ready to leave. My husband did tell her it would have been nice if I had it earlier. every we just should know to keep the coffee cups filled. I believe that will be our last time going there.
Also not appreciative to see one waitress walk by with baby items in her hand, the blanket and diaper bag and going in the back where her child was

I used to love this place and would stop in anytime I was in the area. Today was my last time eating there.. The online menu for my meal said 13.75, the menu at the diner said 15.95, I got charged 17.95. There was literally nothing on the plate I enjoyed. Roast pork was very dry. I ordered corn and rice pilaf for my sides. I didn’t get either. I would have said something, but the server didn’t come back until I was ready for the check. She was busy chasing a homeless person who was resting next to the adjacent building away. The woman didn’t leave fast enough for her liking, so she called the police. Never again will I be back.

Olympia Diner in Port Charlotte is an absolute gem! The food was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly. We especially loved the sweet little Greek lady—she really added to the charm. They were playing Greek music too, which made the whole experience feel authentic and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I decided to try the newly opened Olympia Restaurant located at 3245 Tamiami Trl, Port Charlotte. Right after Olean Blvd heading South and Tamiami. We had gone to the restaurant before Ian and were anxiously waiting for the reopening to happen. The first thing you will notice right away is that everything is bright and new. It is updated in a good way and you will feel right at home when you get seated. Our server was Leslie and it was her first night there. She had a ton of experience and you could tell she was a professional at what she did. She was a bit unfamiliar with the menu, which was OK, because so were we.
I ordered the Greek Combo Platter and my wife ordered Spaghetti and meatballs. The food came out hot and tasty. We enjoyed our meal and we realize this is not the same Olympia that was there before. It certainly has a different ambiance and the menu is different. However, I feel that it has great potential. When we went, they just opened a couple of days before and they are working out the kinks and finding their balance. we will be back. The food is good and it will only get better and once people realize that it is open and actually better than before, they will be back. We will wait a month or so and try it again. I can’t wait to see how they improve. You should give them a try! They could use the encouragement and we could use another great restaurant in Port Charlotte!

I am writing this review while sitting in the restaurant. We were seated and have not been helped or even approached in over 10minutes. Three tables that came in after us have been provided drinks and one has his waffles. They have not even come over to advise they would be by or that they are busy. I would have left if I did not ride with another. Will not be back.

I was very happy to hear that The Olympia Restaurant had reopened after being demolished by Hurricane Ian and rumors that they may never be coming back. Well they’re back with bells on! They reopened 2 months ago. So I was so happy to be driving down the Tamiami Trail and noticed to my delight that the lights were on! I parked my car and walked into the new remodeled restaurant all brought up to date, clean and spiffy! Ian take that and shove it, lol I was seated at my table and ordered a nice Hot cup of Tea and Anna (a very nice Greek woman )was my waitress and didn’t forget my water. made me happy. I ended up adding sugar to my water instead of my tea cup and Anna got me a new one as we laughed on getting older. Was nice to have a waitress who was happy to assist you instead of looking at you as if you had two heads. I was so excited about them being open that I asked Anna what was some of her favorites. I mentioned the fried fish but my eye caught the Salmon Piccata and she agreed that was one of her favorites so I went on faith and ordered that and a salad . I am a very good cook myself and love and cook various cuisine. I was NOT disappointed. The salad was large and lovely with honey mustard. Delish , it was served with warm bread with the salad . When my dinner came out, I was just finishing my salad, perfect timing! Bonus! The plate was served hot and was pleasing to the eye and a nice clean presentation. The Salmon, a nice serving , not too big and not to small, the Angel hair Pasta I chose as one of my sides, is a rare choice for me because not many chefs cook it well it’s usually overcooked and clumpy. I took a bite of that Salmon perfectly cooked , the flavor as it should be, bursting with flavor, covered in wine ,lemon, garlic sause with a wonderful array of capers , not skimped on . But masterfully done Bravo Antonio, my compliments Sir to this Chef! So if you’re looking for great Greek food and some Italian plates. You must try Olympias! She’s been in business for quite awhile and pssst the tzatziki sause is the real thing. Not some fake formula of ranch dressing with cucumbers I have seen in some wannabe restaurants. So Dear readers, good ambiance ( good soft Greek music) good food and great service. You can never go wrong and I certainly appreciated that PS I took a Gyro home and a nice piece of Baklava for my lunch the next day so I spent more than my normal and happily so.

I ordered the Greek salad and baked lamb shank with a side of mixed veggies and mashed potato.

Greek salad ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is the best part of the menu.
Baked lamb shank ⭐️⭐️⭐️ the meat falls off the bone. Taste is nothing special to note
Mashed potato is okay.
Mixed Veggies ⭐️ this is a mixture of corn, string beans and carrots. This honestly looks and taste like canned veggies.

The place is not very great and comfortable. AC is not working very well and I feel like the place needs a good cleaning.

I have been coming from out of town for years. I have taken my grandson here each time I come to visit him, he’s eight. This was the first place that he actually ate syrup on his pancakes. His great great-grandfather used to come here and bring his grandfather. It’s been a family tradition. Today, we had the worst service and I will never be back. Server was not friendly at all. I felt like I was a bother to be eating there. I don’t typically leave bad reviews but I was very disappointed. I should also point out that the grandkids saw the server kissing somebody in the kitchen area
