This Greek restaurant was an overall great experience. The servers were all fantastic—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The owner personally checked on every table, making sure guests were happy, which added a really welcoming touch.

The location is hard to beat: convenient, easy to get to, and sitting right on the river with a great atmosphere.

The food was fantastic. The red pepper with goat cheese appetizer was incredible—easily one of the highlights of the meal. The gyros were great, with the lamb-to-beef combo being absolutely perfect. The red snapper was delicate, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. The calamari had great tenderness (not rubbery at all), though I do wish it were a bit more crispy.

The only slight miss for me was the lamb chops. They were good, but not quite worth the price compared to everything else that was excellent.

Overall, amazing service, great food, a wonderful location, and definitely a place I’d return to.

10/8/25 Has a rustic charm. Went at 2 on a Wednesday. No problem getting seated. Great service.

I had the lamb chops. Ok… pricey… but so good. Medium-well done. Perfect. Marinated. Asked for no additional seasoning. Very good. Sides were a lemon rice/pea dish. Creamy but not dairy. Good.. but the lemon was a bit much after several bites. Red potatoes with lemon flavor. Too much lemon flavor on the plate for me. Husband enjoyed the rice and potatoes from me! Good bread. Husband had the chicken kabobs dinner, so without the wrap. He said it was very good. Served with crinkle fries which were good. I want to go back and try the gyro and baklava. Definitely will go back.

The falafel appetizer was seriously good—crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite thing on the menu. We also tried the lemon chicken and the kabob dinner, and both were delicious. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right.
The vibe of the place is great too—really welcoming with a nice atmosphere that makes you want to hang out a bit longer. And bonus: there’s a gelato and ice cream spot right next door, which is perfect if you’re in the mood for something sweet after your meal. Definitely a place worth checking out.

We went there with two of our friends and had a wonderful experience! Erin took care of us and she was absolutely lovely. Her wine recommendation was perfect, we all loved it. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Oksana and I needed a date night after working in our gallery all week. Fortunately we decided on the Olympia Cafe on the Savannah River. The weather all week was fresh and we were ready for a romantic evening. When we arrived around 8 pm, the dining room was packed but most of the tables were finishing their meal and the owner, Vascili, has a hands on approach to reposition tables to fit the needs of the dinner guests. The whole room had a casual feel and it was one big family party meeting other guests at adjoining tables.
Suddenly, there was a large flame at a nearby table and most of the room shouted “opa”! The entire room’s mood turned fun and festive. Similarly, if someone accidentally drops dishes, everyone yells “opa”. The Greek word opa translates literally to “oops”, but its universal translation is an expression of joy and happiness. The event got your attention and everyone directs the energy in a positive direction. Like the Jewish expression “mazel tov” (good constellation = good luck) after the groom smashes a glass goblet by stepping on it. The focus of the entire room is festive.
Oksana ordered the Greek Gyro Village Salad (pronounced “yee-row”), this sizable dish can be an entire meal. It’s also a very romantic dish to share. Topped with fresh, moist, tender and warm gyro piled high on top of fresh local tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, olives, pepperoncini, and feta. This dish did not skimp on the freshest ingredients. It comes with wonderful fresh French bread. Grandma would be proud!
For an appetizer, Oksana ordered the baby octopus marinated in vinegar, fresh olive oil, and wine. I usually get the fried Kalamari, but tonight saved room for more delicious gyro with a Gyro Dinner plate. It’s was too much food, but I wanted leftovers! The gyro dinner had a mound of fresh sliced gyro meat, pita bread, lettuce and the freshest ripe tomatoes , tzatziki sauce and a serving of fries. I was determined to take home some gyro meat.
With “opa” being exclaimed left and right I inquired about the dish that was being flamed at the table side. There were two options, sausage or melted Kasseri cheese. We opted for the Kasseri cheese and brandy called Saganaki. The four inch medallion of cheese, bathed in brandy on a hot plate bursting into three feet of flames was our dessert. We were stuffed. Next time, it’s baklava for me and tiramisu for Oksana with the flamed sausage for an appetizer! Wonderful meal!

My husband has a love affair with Greek food, especially the gyro when sliced from a vertical rotisserie and the delivered! He loved his gyro so much I only got a picture of the last bite. The chicken souvlaki was devoured and the octopus was tender and perfectly done. They have three different options: an ice-cream & dessert shop, a sit down restaurant with full service, and the “cafe” where you order at the counter and they tell when it’s ready. We sat in the cafe part, and it even felt old worldly. Definitely worth a stop, even if it’s just for a cup of coffee and a quick bite.

The best traditional Greek food ever. We went twice in 1 week, it is that good. Hannah (or Anna?) was our Server and she was great: she listened and was attentive and kind. The Owner, Vasilis, came to our table both times to check on us. He is very kind and genuinely cares about his Patrons. The first time we went, we ordered Tarama and the Greek Village Salad. The Tarama is the best we have ever had. It’s creamy, whipped, light and flavorful. The Greek Village salad was delicious and full of flavor. The second time we went, we got the Tarama and Greek Village again, because it was that good. We also got the Branzino. It was amazing. It was flaky and perfectly cooked. Both meals felt like we were at a restaurant in Greece, cooked by a Greek chef or Grandma.

Beautiful location across from the Riverboat cruise. Lovely old building where you can enjoy delicious Greek food.
Service and waitress Erin was great (not sure I spelled her name correctly). She was a joy. Food was outstanding. My Agean Shrimp was delicious. Generous servings. I would go again if I get the chance while on vacation. Prices was fair.

This is the only restaurant we eat at whenever we are in Savannah. We have been coming here for decades, the food, the Service in the ambience are authentic Greek.
The appetizers ,kebabs, salads, the seafood, the Greek specialties, and the desserts are perfectly Prepared and presented.
Mr. Vasili Make sure that every customer feels like they are special almost like you’re eating in someone’s home.

Awesome place to get some great food. These guys don’t mess around. Hot fresh and ready for you. The vibes are always good at this place. I always get the sausage with the fries. The prices are the best part. They’re dang near giving the food away here. Pop in if you’re ever on river st. 10/10. Would recommend
