The pizza wasn’t piping hot when I got it home, but it was warm enough to eat. Overall it was okay — not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way for. I’d probably try a different pizza next time, and I’d still be open to going back.
It has a really nice bar and the vibe is great. Not a wide or adventurous menu but for a good pizza spot this place is fun. I really like the whole bocce room on the side – it’s like a backyard right in the restaurant. Check it out if you haven’t been.
The first time we went, my GF pizza came out and I said to the waitress, “this was supposed to be GF”. It looked so good I didn’t think it was but I was mistaken! It was the best GF I’ve ever had and it was like real pizza, so good!
So, the other night we were deciding what to get for take out and we opted for Olo. I went with the same pizza, the Bacon, fig, onion & arugula jam. We also ordered the wings and my wife went with a Sicilian.
Well, when she got there, they never put in the order for her pizza. It was called in for pick up, not through an app. Mind you it was a busy Sunday evening around dinner time. So, it was going to be a bit until everything was ready. Not only did they comp the pizza but they also comped her a drink from the bar while she waited! Now that is how you handle a mistake!!
The food was awesome again! Absolutely loved my pizza and it was still fantastic leftover (GF often is not as no gluten to hold it together and the grains break down). Their Parmesan wings are also and in both of our opinions, the best in the city, so good!
Needless to say, we’ll be patronizing Olo again soon and maybe I’ll order a different pizza but it’s gonna be hard!
Decided on this spot after seeing reviews and the rating, something that has not resulted in money well spent as often as it should have in the city of worcester unfortunately. I keep hitting dead ends and wasting both money and tips (before even tasting food or seeing the quality when it’s a take out order).
Tried 2 pizzas, a dessert, an appetizer, and a sandwich and fries:
Both pizzas were too burned to really enjoy, taste was so so and not memorable, dough was very chewy. This was an overpriced domino’s sized pizza that did not satisfy even the slightest. I was disappointed because I read that it was good. 2.2/5
The meatball parm sandwich was good in taste but was sloppily presented, and used the same chewy dough. However, it was slightly less chewy with the sandwich. Meatballs were good, sauce was fine. 4.5/5
The fries that accompanied the sandwich was not good at all. It tasted like the oldest and most boring selection of potatoes were used. 0/5
The chicken wings were so so, nothing to write home about, mention, or remember. Hard to say exactly how much I did or did not like them. I would say they were okay, too much on the borderline of okay and did not like. They were also on the borderline of cooked and overcooked. But, would I order them again? No. 2.5/5
The zeppoli was also a let down. It was almost good in taste, too dry, almost tasted burned but definitely tasted over fried. The white dip was okay/decent, weird texture, the chocloate dip was good. I almost bout 2 orders of this, I am so glad I did not. 2.4/5
For the prices they charge for everything on their menu, I expected much better and to get some sort of food worth the money spent. Food here was overpriced, overcooked, less than stellar tasting, and disappointing.
I arrived right behind a group that was being led away by the only hostess at the station at that time. It was early in the evening, but I could see the restaurant was getting busy. It was only a matter of moments before someone working the food line helped retrieve my order. He gave off a welcoming and friendly vibe, which I wouldn’t have expected from someone possibly making and helping with the takeout deliveries. That vibe will have me coming back to have a meal in person in the near future.
I would have given both pizzas 5 stars, but while I enjoyed the charred outer crust on the pepperoni, there was more than enough for my taste. I think I will try eating a slice from crust to center next time I try ‘Olo. The pepperonis were juicy and remarkably delicious. For someone that likes a more doughy pizza, the seasoning for both pies exceeded my expectations in taste. I look forward to coming back in person and eating the pizza right out of the oven.
