Olluco Bistro is an American restaurant that offers traditional breakfast, smoked barbecue, and a diverse menu that will include sandwiches, appetizers, and Peruvian touches. Spearheaded by renowned Chef Brian Morales and his family, who want to bring a new modern flavor over to Franklin and Sussex county. Chef Brian Morales is bringing his experience from working at some of New Jersey’s best restaurants to now serving you here at his first restaurant. Eventually in peak spring summer season we will be able to host our patrons outside in our communal tables with outside barbecue cooking and grilling. Can’t wait to serve you

I found this hidden gem randomly thru Google Maps. I thought it was a nice sit down restaurant but It is a tiny small place that doesn’t have a lot of seating. While walking in and listening to the music they had on and seeing staff busy working, I sensed the food must be really good. By far, this place got the best ribs and brisket in the area! The meat fell out of the bone so easily, soft, moist and melted on my tongue. The staff were all nice. I will definitely go back again soon after dreaming about those ribs! Highly recommended for take out!!

Once in a blue moon you taste something so good that it rewires your brain a little. I am thrilled to say the rumors are true: some of the best barbecue in America comes from a tiny Peruvian restaurant in Northern New Jersey. This place could be half as good as it is and still be 5 stars. World class food, prepared by kind people at a fair price. Forget your dinner plans and go here.

For the best takeout sandwiches this place can’t be beat – always excellent!
Fries are extremely good super crispy and not dry, Cheeseburger is super flavourful juicy and meat is cooked perfectly. Melts in your mouth and always always always worth the good price. Pulled pork sandwich delicious as well as the brisket, which is so juicy and both are smoked exceptionally well overnight which leads to the strong taste and smoky aroma. Highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVE this place, the brisket is soooo yummy we got the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich. The food is soooo yummy fresh we will definitely be returning

WOW!!!!! That was probably some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth! It’s all there, all the flavor.. I am a Cuban sandwich fanatic and this was THE BEST CUBAN sandwich I’ve ever had, ever! We ordered a little bit of everything including the empanadas, the steak skewers and two different sandwiches, crispy chicken BLT and the Cuban. Not only will these sandwiches make you want to smack yo momma, you’re not breaking the bank to enjoy them! Staff is great, prices are super reasonable which will keep me coming back. Can’t wait to go back and try the weekend BBQ, which sells out from what I understand. If you go once, you’ll be back… Don’t say I didn’t tell you so!!

Finally stopped in and was not disappointed. Wish we went earlier! Great Cuban barbeque. We got the Cuban sandwich and steak Lomo with sides of Mac and cheese, potato salad and a Carne empanada. Everything was amazing! Will be back soon. If you’ve been thinking about it, stop in next time you drive by.

This food is insanely good. Best BBQ Brisket, chicken, empanadas, and Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had. Not an exaggeration. This chef knows what he’s doing and does not compromise on quality. I would recommend take out if ordering from here and order more than you can eat because you WILL want leftovers.

The food is AMAZING! We’ve tried the Cuban sandwich, steak sandwich, pulled pork, and wings. This chef knows what he’s doing! I told my friend today that when I mention “the barbecue place” in the future, this is the only place I’m referencing. Good portion sizes and fair prices.
As for atmosphere…it’s friendly, but there isn’t much seating space and not much decor. That said, I intend to support this establishment so they can grow into a bigger space with Peruvian atmosphere!
By the way, they cater, too.
