The homemade applesauce was out of this world and a great addition for my dessert. We got creative and made some very healthy choices including the Asian salad with the mahi-mahi. Perfect combination.

For gluten-free options we simply ordered two hamburgers wrapped in lettuce.

Best thing about all of this is when you eat here and you’re local… They give you a 10% local love discount!!! What a tremendous gift. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

It was a good meal after backpacking! Very fulfilling and especially what I got! The waitress was really sweet and helped out our group with small mistakes in ordering. I had the country fried steak and it came with two sides. I got fries and mashed potatoes. The country fried steak was really good, the mashed potatoes use the same gravy as on the steak. The fries were good and really good with the homemade ranch I tried from my friends plate! The proportions were really good, and some of the menu looked a bit pricy. But other than that pretty good!

Many of the photos are reviews are old and deceiving. There are no cheese curds ! Food was fine. Service was fine. Ambiance was like a bowling alley ? Nice spot for a quick bite of pub fare.

Absolute crap. They sat us, however, we waited for an hour and a half to get cold soup and none of our other food. McDonald’s would have been a better and quicker option at this point.

Great, friendly service. I was a little disappointed after seeing the fried cheese highly recommend – that must be an old thing. I ordered it as my meal and it was regular mozzarella sticks that you would get at any chain restaurant. One kid had spaghetti , the other chicken fingers. My husband had a burger with bacon. It was good and not a pre-made patty. It was neat for not a chain restaurant.

Love this place!
Tonight we had the cordon blue sandwich (it was huge – had to cut some off so I could pick up the sandwich!) , chicken Cobb salad, French fries and Mac N cheese. Everything was great!

Purely disappointing. Let me at least say that the applesauce was above average and the mushroom soup was good, even if the mushrooms were way too chewy.

Now, it is hard to know where to start. We waited 35 minutes to order. People came in, ordered and left before we gave our order. Excuses about how busy it was, but only 6 tables were occupied.

My wife told me her chicken parmigiana was the worst meal she has ever eaten; she cut it into tiny pieces and still couldn’t chew it. After an hour I finally got the UNSWEETENED iced tea I ordered. Finally we just ate what was edible and left just to get out of there.

This restaurant is in desperate need of Gordon Ramsey.

We sat down and were welcomed by what I am assuming is the owner. Very nice lady, very accommodating. Brought my daughter fries as soon as she sat down before we even ordered because she could tell she was hungry, which is great service, but the good service stopped there.

It was an hour before half of our food came out. Most of it was wrong, and the mashed potatoes were fridge cold.

We cancelled the rest of our food.

For the record, it wasnt that busy, and we didnt even get there until around 1, so it wasnt peak time.

They may respond and say the power went out, which it did, for about 45 seconds. They also said they only had 1 cook, but everything we ordered was either fried, likely premade or only needed a short amount of time on the grill, (burgers, Philly Chees steak) nothing that takes an hour to make.

Due to the how long it took, we ended up having to skip the rest of our day at Luray Cavern, which is ridiculous because we came in town from 6 hours away for it.

We try to support local businesses when we can, but I would advise against stopping here.

They were very accommodating to children though, but also let dogs in the dining room. I’m a dog person but that was a little odd to me.

We ate here New Year’s Day. The food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. My kids had burgers which they said were great. I had a mahi mahi sandwich which I really enjoyed. Portions were a good size. It did take a while to receive our food but we really enjoyed it. If you’re in a hurry it could be a problem. Our server Becca was as nice as can be. I would definitely go back.

Easily the worst dining experience of my life, but luckily I was in good company.

There was one server for the entire restaurant, who was clearly overwhelmed.
There was also a bartender who regularly disappeared and didn’t seem to help, even with bar drinks.

We ordered our drinks and meals at the same time:
• At 20 minutes, only half of our party had their drinks.
• At 30 minutes, one person’s meal came out.
• At 35 minutes, the other half of our party received their drinks.
• At 45 minutes, two other meals came out.
(Just for clarity: of the three meals that had been delivered to the table at this point, none were for any of the four children who ordered children’s meals.)
• At 55 minutes, I politely asked to be charged for what we had already been given and to be cashed out while my party left.

I understand you may only have one server. I also understand that issues arise when kitchen staff don’t show up or quit.
The problem I have is that I called ahead and told you the size of my party (8), and you told us to come on in. What made it worse was seeing at least two other large parties come in after we had already been seated for quite some time.

At that point, it felt like prioritizing revenue over quality of service.
