Okay so usually we go to the truck cause they never mess our order up but they were closed this past Sunday night. My hubby orders over the phone, brings back our food and my tacos were wrong.. ok no big deal but the elote? They put one scoop of butter and sprinkled a little bit of cheese and tajin in the corner and barely put corn in the box… so I call them at 6:10 pm and the girl otp tells me they can’t remake it because they close soon … they closed at 7. I said that’s almost a whole hour and I’m down the street, she says well we really close at 6:40 for cleaning so… I’m like okay well at this point it’s only 6:14 and I’m sure that’s more than enough time to make a couple tacos. She says fine. I show the guy at the register and he looked at my elote and said “this is how you got it?” And shook his head. Say’s he’ll get my order remade no problem. Mind you there was still a line and people coming in and out and it’s almost 6:35 by the time I’m getting my remade order. So I check it before I leave and it looks good, you can tell they put extra butter and cheese probably to funny to me but I didn’t care honestly. I get home and eat my tacos no problem then go to eat my elote and take a bite and something cuts my gums , come to find SHARDS OF GLASS … 6 pieces bigger than the corn to be exact. All scattered throughout the elote. Oh and the restaurant told me there wasn’t anything they could do about it L O L. Pictures for proof attached.

Best tacos in town. The elotes are also good and have good subtle flavor. The sauces that come with tacos are solid too. Can’t beat the pricing. The location is def sketch would go in the day time only

I’m really sad to say this because I love them I’ve been staying in Rockford for about 4 years and I literally brag about how good the tacos are here but lately they have been awful lack of care in the tacos made poorly and aren’t made correctly I just ordered tacos 2 orders of the 3 for $5 plus all the extra condiments and then ordered 2 single chicken tacos with all the condiments again let’s not forget the condiments are extra and once again my order is wrong didn’t receive my 2 single chicken tacos instead it was 2 steak tacos and the gag about this is it had nothing on the taco just onions and cilantro and the tiniest lime and plus the food was cold like it had been sitting there for a while I’m not that far from the store so my order should have been hot and as expected fresh but I just think I’m just gonna try to find an alternative restaurant

The food here is actually good, which makes the terrible service even more infuriating. My husband and I are always polite and patient towards service workers , but the way we were treated at this taco truck was completely unacceptable.
On Saturday, they gave us the wrong salsa on our tacos. My husband asked nicely if they could just add the correct one on top .. which isn’t a big deal.. not remake anything, just fix their mistake. Instead of doing it politely, they refused at first, and when they finally did it, they did it with extreme attitude, like we were asking for the impossible. We stayed calm and didn’t argue, but we left feeling frustrated.
We decided to give them another chance on Tuesday, but it was the same employees. From the moment they saw us, it was obvious they were unhappy we came back rolling their eyes and showing clear attitude. Still, we stayed kind, placed our order, and waited patiently. Then things got ridiculous: customers who ordered after us, dozens of them, were served first. First five people, then three more, then four more .. every single time, we were ignored. Even other customers started asking how long we had been waiting. We politely said about 20 minutes and continued to wait, trying not to make a scene.
Finally, my husband asked again what was going on. They brushed him off with a vague “it’s coming,” but more people kept getting served before us. It wasn’t until a woman who had been observing from her car confronted them that they finally gave us our food claiming it had been “lost.” I saw them pull it from the side where it had clearly been sitting the entire time. Cold. Soggy.
It was obvious they were deliberately punishing us for politely asking them to fix a small mistake a few days earlier. We left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and honestly angry. The food is good, but no meal is worth being treated this way. This level of hostility and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated like a paying customer.

I used to really enjoy their food but since hiring new order takers, my experience has been sub par. I am not sure if the lady taking orders has an issue with me but it seems that she works hard to offend me. I would be the first to order and people that order after me receive their food first. This happened again today. The lady also spent some time in the back which made me feel suspicious about my order. I ordered three steak tacos and usually order the fiesta bowl but didn’t want to take any chances. There’s probably two pieces of steak and the rest veggies. I usually prefer their food trucks over the restaurant bc I receive better service but today’s experience makes me feel that I should not buy food from them at all.

Order 2 orders of tacos and 1 tamale from here, they forgot my tamale, so I I called back in there and alerted the cashier that they forgot my tamale. He was rude, accused me of stealing the tamale…. And then HUNG UP IN MY FACE! Smh, I’ve never been so furious in my life!_

We rode our ebikes to this location. They allowed us to put them inside. Well, the tacos are the bomb. They use the smaller soft corn taco shells, but good and enough for a good snack. We also had the elotes corn and shared it. Well, l had a few bites, and the wife enjoyed the rest. The parking lot is big enough for a bobtail, smaller rv, or box truck. You will fit. If it’s on the weekend a 18 wheeler will fit. Just be careful. It’s a short trip from the Loves Travel stop down by the airport. 5 stars and two thumbs up.

3/$5 is the way to go. I was sad that I couldn’t mix and match for the higher price, but was still satisfied that they filled the box up with taco. Look at it!
