Having now read the reviews for Oliviera, I suppose I should have known I was in for something special—but this turned out to be the best lunch I’ve had in years, and certainly the best in Nice. The dish itself was simple—sausage and lentils—yet its very simplicity made its excellence all the more striking. The service was exceptional as well, with a charming host who explained the dish and the provenance of the ingredients. Truly outstanding. I highly recommend it.

We chanced upon this quaint little place in one corner of the Old City part of Nice. The owner was charming as he explained all the dishes. We had their Pesto Pasta and Aubergine stuffed with meat. Highly recommended

Incontournable. This place, located at the heart of Old Nice is a necessary stop for a wholesome experience in Nice. Best service, and the short—but generous in flavor—menu (incl. vegetarian options) will not disappoint. The two kids enjoyed the incredible lasagna and the adults the pesto spaghetti and the uniqueness of the lapin sur pâtes. I haven’t ever tried a better broth. Get some olive oil for the road and leave feeling you cannot do better with your time and appetite.

Terrific food. The owner is super friendly and makes his own olive oil. Just the olive oil tasting is worth it! And the local vegetables just taste so fresh.

After nearly a week in Nice and a slew of disappointing restaurants, Oliviera finally broke that streak. Everything was truly fantastic, from the lovely owner to the delicious food and even better olive oil, we couldn’t help but scrape our plates clean. A true gem and a must visit for your time in Nice.

Simple and delicious. We had the pesto pasta, rabbit stew, and eggplant appetizer which were all good. The rabbit stew bone broth was rich in flavor. The owner was kind and generous and clearly enjoyed his job. He gave us several varieties of delicious and fruity tasting olive oil with our bread.

My wife and I have been here many times. When friends visit us in Nice, we ALWAYS bring them to Oliviera. One of our favorites dining experiences in all of France. (And we’ve spent move the 1,000 night in France) Always fresh ingredients, well used in delicious dishes. It’s in the tourist area but the food is the way the Niçoise eat (if they are a good cook). No CC bring cash. And buy some olive oil.

An absolute gem in the heart of Nice! Dining at L’Oliviera was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends. The passion of the owner Nadim shines through in every detail—from the stories behind the olive oils to the warmth in the service.

Each dish was beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and thoughtfully paired with unique olive oils that elevated everything to another level.

A must-visit if you’re in Nice—this is not just a meal, it’s a memory.

I have visited this restaurant countless times. The menu is limited to a few dishes, but the experience never fails. Serving is done by the sweet owner, with a special presence towards the customers. All dishes are tied together with a special olive oil, which the owner decorates the dish with, linked to the history of the oil. I can highly recommend this food and restaurant experience, because you leave with a unique experience.

Probably the best meal in 2 weeks after travelling to Monaco, Cassis, Saint Tropez and Nice. The owner is a wonderful gent who went thru his entire menu and explained each dish. We also were treated to several olive oil tastings as that is his primary business.

Small place with tables inside and out. Very comfortable. Generous portions. Wonderful service.

Would definitely recommend.
