We usually love the food here. I just want the owners to know how terrible their staff is. Today we went in to pick up an order to go. After waiting 10 minutes watching people walk by us and just chatting with tables ignoring us. My husband finally asked if someone can help him they told him they would be there soon. So we wait and finally get asked our name for the order the waitress gets a bag and sets it on a table far away from him. Then he sees her doing other things so he asks her is that our order and she says yes you need to carry it over and put your card in over there. Like wow you can’t hand our foodto us as if our food isn’t already getting cold. I know people don’t want to work these days but this is ridiculous. We already have a hard time finding decent places to eat here and this is one of the ones we actually like but you may want to ask your servers to treat people and their food the way they would want to be treated.

Excellent green and red chile- strong flavor and spicy. Burrito was big and good, but only made with eggs and some basic sausage patty, topped with cheese. So not complex, but still tasty/filling. The hash browns on the side are grilled perfectly. Very popular restaurant for takeout and locals. The hard rock playing made for an interesting vibe but hey, it’s Las Vegas, enjoy it all!

The only way to describe Olivia’s is a small town everybody knows each other kinda place. Very friendly waitresses, but felt a little crowded. We were close to the register and people were standing around us waiting to pay. The restrooms weren’t the cleanest. It was an experience, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Of the 5 Mexican food restaurants in Las Vegas, NM I’ve visited in the last 23 years….including Taco Bell….this one is on the bottom of my list. Nothing was good! Tamales had tough, stringy roast inside that had no flavor, the clump of sticky red rice…had no flavor…EVEN THE BEANS WERE BLAND! I was actually shocked at how many cars surrounded the cafe and how busy it was. Nothing inspired me to ever return. I got a sopapilla with my meal! ! It was thick, chewy and served without honey. After I asked for honey the third time, I actually blocked the walkway between the tables and demanding some honey from our wait staff. Not a good experience for me. I can only hope that they’re the cheapest place in town…that would be their one, and only virtue…in my opinion.

I stopped after driving for 3 hours and after driving to Old Town Plaza and then Googling best restaurants in Las Vegas NM. Google suggested, among other places, Olivias. I had apparently driven past it but turned around and went back. I arrived before 2. Sign said “open.” I went in. The lady at the register was not welcoming. I asked if I could take any table. She rolled her eyes and said she was going to lock the door in 5 mins. I left. Went to Charlie’s instead. Excellent lunch. Warm welcome.

Amazing food! I got a combination plate with relleno, taco and enchilada. Everything was delicious, but that relleno was a 5 star culinary masterpiece! .
