Olives on Main is officially my pancake weakness. The portions are huge (like, plan a- nap after huge), and the pancakes are fluffy perfection. Downtown Sylvania needed a breakfast spot like this. Great food, great atmosphere, and you absolutely get your money’s worth.

What a beautiful place. Not too far from Flower Hospital.
I had the vegan plate and my mom had corned beef hash.
The vegan plate was the real deal. Even the cheese is vegan. First vegan cheese I enjoyed.
The hash was too much for my mom. She enjoyed it.
The service was excellent. Felt like we were the only ones there. Very focused on our needs.
I felt the price of the food is reasonable for today’s market price.
We plan on going back this weekend.

I went to this restaurant this past week with a group of 6 and it was fantastic. We wanted a place where we could hear each other talk, and this was perfect. The food was delicious – I had a buffalo chicken wrap, and other folks in my group enjoyed the salad with cranberries, chicken, feta, and nuts (I was really having a hard time deciding between those two items!). We also had two takers for the reuben – they also loved their meal. There was a lot to choose from on the menu, and we all had a wonderful time. I am from out of town, but I know the ladies I went with will be back. I will be back the next time I am in town for sure!!! Delicious!!

The food was very greasy, I ordered French toast and my mother ordered eggs and toast, shocking how bad very easy dishes turned out. Seating is tight and packed especially for how many customers they don’t seem to be receiving.The management couldn’t seem to get enough of each other as they were more concerned with each other as a pose to paying customers. It’s safe to say I won’t be back to olives on main as the food and service was horrible and it seems like the management has better things to tend to then customers and serving food, hopefully they enjoy serving each other because that’s where the priorities appeared to be. As for the kitchen and servers they seemed to be alright but not enthused about work. Overall I’ve seen waffle houses at 3am full of drunk people operate smoother then olives on main and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy

Had breakfast here with three other friends for the first time. Location was good, right on Main Street in Sylvania. Plenty of parking in the back. When we arrived for brunch at 9:45am there was only one other table with two ladies, who were already eating, in the restaurant. Waitress took our order promptly. Even though no one else was ordering food until we were done eating it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. I felt this was an excessive wait for an empty restaurant. I was the only one who ordered coffee and after getting my initial cup the waitress never returned to refill and the couple of times I saw her I could not catch her eye. I finally decided to find it for myself when I saw her coming to the table with food so I asked then and she refilled. My breakfast of vegan hash was good except for the toast which was bread, not toast, with a small stripe of a bright yellow something. A friend at the table ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. It arrived with half bacon and half sausage and no pancakes but a biscuit instead. They were out of pancake mix. Overall food was ok but not above average in any way. Can’t say I would return but to be fair will probably give it another try to see if it was just an off day.

I use Olive’s On Main for catering office lunches. The price is right, the quality is excellent and the service is very accommodating! The feedback I get from my lunch attendees is ALWAYS positive. Individuals catering meals is an option as well as a bulk option. I definitely recommend Olive’s on Main for a great catering lunch experience.

We held a combined small family reunion and birthday celebration at Olive’s on a weekend evening. The entire bar and seating area was reserved for our group. Angela assisted with menu planning, suggesting options for appetizers, warm entrees, sides, and dessert. We couldn’t have been happier with our selection of venue. The buffet style comfort food was nicely presented, and was delicious. I especially enjoyed the sliced ham, roast beef, and pulled pork. Children in the group loved the hot dogs! Since we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, the kids, ranging in age from 3 to 11, were free to be kids while the grownups shifted tables and chairs as we pleased. The relaxed and intimate atmosphere was just what we wanted. Some in the group requested that we meet again at Olive’s next year! Thanks to Angela and her staff at Olive’s for providing such a memorable evening for our family.
