Olive Mediterranean Grill was a great stop in Key West and an easy place to enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal with friends. We went as a small group and ordered a mix of gyros with fries, the gyro platter, and the chicken skewers platter. Overall, everything was very good and clearly made with care.
The gyro meat was flavorful, and while a small portion leaned a bit on the dry side, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the meal as a whole. The homemade tzatziki sauce really stood out — incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The fries were tasty and came with a house-made ketchup, which was lighter and more subtle than expected, but still a nice touch. Everyone else at the table loved their platters and had nothing but good things to say.
Our food came out quickly and piping hot, which is always appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the owner personally came over to welcome us and chat, which added a really nice, personal touch. Inside is quaint with a small dining area, plus a few outdoor tables. We chose to sit outside at night and it was a lovely, laid-back experience.
One small thing worth noting is that the bathroom is located outside around the back of the restaurant, but it was clean and well kept.
Overall, Olive Mediterranean Grill is a solid choice for fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food in a welcoming setting. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a casual, enjoyable meal in Key West.

This place is a hidden gem! The chef was so friendly and accommodating, and he represented what Turkish hospitality is all about! The food was absolutely delicious! We had the sigara boregi, which was delicious and all the cold meze plates! My entree, the Iskender kebab was honestly one of the best, if not the best, I’ve ever had in my life (and I’m Turkish and have tried many Iskender kebabs!) A cozy atmosphere with better food and service; Olive’s is NOT to be missed when coming to Key West!!!!

Our family found Olives at a particularly hungry lunchtime between activities around the island. Every dish was made with fresh ingredients prepared with care – really healthy comfort food elevated to something special. The atmosphere was an ideal balance of laid-back and inviting, making it easy for us to linger and recharge between exploring. The owner made our experience truly memorable with his warmth, humor, stories and hospitality. Highly recommend the beetroot tarator, dolmas and falafels, and definitely don’t skip the baklava — truly devine! We are aleady counting down the days until our next visit!

A wonderful place that really transports you two turkey or the Mediterranean. This is a classic, cozy little hole in the wall. The owner is very accommodating and explains his beautiful food and culture very well. We had delicious donut, kebab sandwich, and kafte. We didn’t have room for the Turkish coffee, but if I lived here, I would have it once a week in this Homey little spot with the pistachio baklava.

Wonderful Turkish Mediterranean dishes infused with love. Great gyro meats and wonderful breads.
I had the Iskender Kebab. Lots of food for the hungry. The tomato based sauce was great and not at all acidic.
The Gyro Platter was large also.
Drinks are bottled or cans.
Small interior eating area with 8 tables, another 5 tables outside.

This was a great spot for lunch after walking around Fort Taylor. It is also within walking distance from there so don’t need to repark the car.
The place is small inside but the food is totally worth it. We had chicken kebab and everyone including kinds pretty much inhaled it as it was so good. We’ve tried a lot of Mediterranean places while travel and this one was one of the best.
It’s not the easiest to get seating but well worth the wait.

Best food we had in Key West! Fresh, fast, and flavorful. Finally got to try Turkish coffee and finished dinner with the pistachio baklava. Fantastic. I don’t even care for baklava but I wanted more. It’s off the main strip, but it was WELL worth the extra time to get to. If that weren’t enough of a reason to get you to come, the prices were very reasonable (especially for the island!). It’s small, but there were probably five or six tables. The gentleman at the front was very friendly and answered all of our questions

Olives was a stellar lunch find for my family while in key west. The food was so delicious, high quality ingredients and classic dishes done so well. The place itself was the perfect cozy and casual spot for us all to sit and hang out during a tour around day. Cannot say enough good things about the owner and how kind, funny and generous he was while we chatted. Can’t wait to come back next year and try even more dishes.

Best meal we’ve had in Key West, and a very welcome change from the standard island dishes (which we love). They have a very nice mezze selection. We tried several and all were perfect – rich with the flavor of high quality olive oil. The chef/owner comes from a long tradition of restraunteurs in Turkey – and it shows. All the dishes we tried were fantastic – especially the baba, and the gyros. They also have a nice selection of Turkish wines, and of course excellent Turkish coffee.

We visit Key West every few years and try our best to find off Duval St. Eating establishments that serve authentic food at reasonable prices. As we love Mediterranean cuisine (the fact my father’s family is from Lebanon) should state I know good Mediterranean food when I taste it. When I say it’s as good as my Citto made, that might be too far a stretch, but it was tasty, great spices, made in house fresh, and well worth the prices charged. The owner is very personable and actually talks with his guests. Something rarely seen these days. The Gyro, Greek Salad, and grilled chicken were prepared perfectly. The dining are is relatively small as the seating space will accommodate approximately 12 guests.
There were many other dishes we wanted to taste, but that will give us a reason to return on our next trip.
