Went to Oliver’s Twist with a group of friends, and it was the literal opposite of hospitality. A pregnant friend, asked a simple and reasonable question: confirming a drink listed under the “Temperance” section was nonalcoholic. Instead of a polite answer, the waiter snapped back in a rude, condescending tone, saying, “That’s what temperance means.”

Not only was this unprofessional, but also incredibly insensitive. A pregnant person is trying to be extra cautious about what they consume but is met with contempt. The drinks and atmosphere can’t make up for staff who treat customers with open hostility. If you value professionalism or even basic courtesy, I’d recommend skipping Oliver’s Twist. There are plenty of bars in Seattle that serve excellent cocktails without insulting their patrons while simultaneously asking for “donations” on their website to subsidize terrible business.

Stumbled into this neighborhood spot for predinner drinks and was so impressed with the drinks and staff.

Benji helped us out and made us feel so welcomed and it was like talking to an old friend without missing a beat. My favorite drink for the night was the il duce, a nutmeg margarita that marries mezcal and tequila with nutmeg. Their daiquiri and negroni are also a great way to start your evening.

This is a quintessential summer spot for Seattle. It’s great to people watch and we cannot wait to come back.

Wow! I had been meaning to visit Oliver’s Twist for a while, and now I’m kicking myself for not visiting sooner! The drinks were impeccable, the service was fantastic, and the truffle popcorn was delicious (I was sad when it was gone). I can’t wait to come back!

A lovely, cozy neighborhood bar with good food, great snacks and amazing cocktails. Their drink menu is dedicated to the classics, long forgotten cocktails and a handful of original recipes inspired by the classics. Our service was friendly and our bartender was very knowledgeable. Ask about your drink! They know the whole history.

Cocktails are delightful. The space is fine – nothing too special but not run down or gross. Mixed server experience. Had a great one, and had an okay one. We’ll definitely be back for a cocktail – maybe an app, not dinner.

Unfortunately, my experience at Oliver Twist was incredibly disappointing especially considering it was supposed to be a birthday celebration. The bartender made it an extremely unpleasant experience.

What should have been a fun and memorable night quickly turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one felt necessary. There are plenty of great bars in Seattle — sadly, this isn’t one I’ll be returning to or recommending.

White guy with the mustache who was serving and making drinks on Thursday night was sooooo rude. The attitude coming from him when we were simply ordering was so hostile and uncalled for, and made us feel atrocious. The pace of service was also horrible. We waited over 30 mins for him to come back to us. The drinks were very mid. Would not come back here especially if he was serving drinks or behind the bar. Absolutely unprofessional.

We’ve tried going here a few times, and each time we’ve been disappointed. More than once it was closed unexpectedly, and when the stars finally aligned, I was very underwhelmed by the food.

The cocktails are generally good, although a few of them seem unbalanced. But even a good drink program is overshadowed by disappointing service and food.

Most recently, half the menu items were unavailable. The only things left were spring rolls and 3 combinations of meat/veg in a noodle bowl (which also comes with spring rolls). So basically iterations of a single item were available. And it just wasn’t that great. No real sauce. Just naked vermicelli noodles with a smattering of fresh vegetables.

In the 3 times I’ve been, the wait staff generally made me feel like I was inconveniencing them at every step. I did not feel welcome.

Cool atmosphere, dimly lit and ‘loungey’ with candles everywhere! Great date night stop. Crafty cocktails and bartenders were FANTASTIC. Not too crowded but just busy enough. If you’re in the neighborhood (or even if you’re NOT) check it out!
