Food was amazing and fresh. We ordered different seafood appetizers and they were all amazingly fresh. Portions were perfect to feed us and not over the top. Drinks were flavorful.

Oliver’s & Planck’s Tavern is a local watering hole featuring many beers on tap, good cocktail selection and elevated bar food. There is a dining room and tavern side next to a full service bar with stools as well as high-tops and many booths. The nautical themed decor adds to the family atmosphere. This tavern came up as a place for fresh seafood, and while it does have a good selection, I wouldn’t call it “fresh” as most items are deep fried. Being adventurous we tried the Oysters on the half shell, stuffed Quahogs, fish and chips and Mac and cheese. Our first batch of well fleet oysters weren’t scrubbed and had many particulates and shell pieces and were sent back. The stuffed Quahogs disappointed as they were so finely ground it tasted like imitation crab with chunks of crusty bread crumbs. The second batch of well fleets arrive looking much better and they saved the review from a two ⭐. Fish and chips were light and flaky and the kids devoured the Mac and cheese. Service was attentive and owned up to the first batch of bad oysters. The local beers on tap were refreshing although most were Boston type IPA’s. All in Oliver’s & Planck’s served up an ok meal would return to try their burgers, tacos and pizza after 5 pm.

We were seated quickly and our waitress was friendly to start. The food was good and the brought extra rolls. When we paid, our card was charged twice. The waitress denied it and said it was an issue with our card or bank. The manager came out and said that they never have a problem. The waitress started to get rude and the manager wasnt any help. We left and called our bank. The card was charged twice. After 2 days of dealing with the dispute, the charge was reversed.

Went there in July 2015. I had an Eastham Burger. It was very good and the waitress was nice. I saved the receipt! Food is great and I went with some people that I know for many years. Completely wheelchair accessible and took a picture of the fence. Also, the free bread rocks and your prices are decent for a Cape vacation. I always stay in West Yarmouth when I go to Oliver’s and I live in Brockton.

Fun place. Staff was excellent. Food was outstanding. We ate in a booth around the big bar area so it was lively. There is quieter seating available. We ate early so we missed the live band that was just setting up. btw, the chowder is even better than Capt P’s and it come included as a side dish!!!!!

Wanted to give a bit of an overdue shoutout to Oliver’s & Planck’s Tavern in Yarmouthport. We enjoy the Cape every year and, probably like so many people, find ourselves going back to the same places over and over again. We’ve made it a goal coming out of Covid that we’d do our best to branch out and try new places. Thanks to this group, we landed on what may be our new favorite restaurant.

Driving up to Oliver’s & Planck’s we were happy to see a good amount of parking and a very light and nautical themed restaurant when we entered. I especially loved that they had dining tables in the front part of the restaurant, then the bar and more tables in the back. This allowed for us to have a quiet dinner when one of the nights we went happened to be on trivia night. What a great way to cater to two different dining experiences at the same time.

The menu has great options at very well appreciated prices. Of course, we started with the chowder and it was a perfect balance of potatoes and clams while being creamy and not too overpowering of any one flavor. I was craving a steak but don’t like when it comes out too black from char, and our waitress was extremely accommodating to that request. It was perfectly cooked and had great flavor and the red mashed potatoes were a great side and a nice change of pace from fries. My mom ordered the broiled scallops and loved them so much she would have probably licked the bowl if that was socially acceptable in public. They were buttery, the crumb topping had great seasoning too it that had a nice flavor and the serving size of potatoes was very generous. The meal came with bread and I added a, pretty strong, vodka lemonade drink that was on their menu to the meal. We were so impressed that, a few days later when we were contemplating adding a day on to our trip, coming back here was a reason we decided to!

The second night I had to go with the same steak. Once again our waiter, different this time but no less accommodating, made sure it was perfectly cooked. I went for the fries this time and they were an equally delicious side, you can’t go wrong with any form of potato that you want with your meal. My mom switched it up, barely, by going with the fried scallops instead of broiled. She couldn’t believe how fresh they tasted and how the breading didn’t over power the scallop. The baked potato was good too and if really pressed about it, she seems to say she would go for the broiled on the next trip, but it seems like you can’t go wrong with any scallops served here. Once again we went with the chowder and pink vodka lemonade and once again it was very strong drink. A highlight again was the rolls, they are so good!

Overall, we are so excited about this restaurant and are happy to have had two great meals here on our first two visits.

A great American style bar and restaurant. Food was right on style for this establishment. We both ordered the broiled fish entree. A bit too much flavored bread crumbs topping on plenty of scallops, haddock and deveined shrimp, all perfectly broiled with lemon and melted butter on the side. We choose broccoli, cole slaw and mashed potato sides respectively. A very good meal!! I drank Stella from the tap. You know they clean the beer lines and faucets because it was delicious. No dirty line after taste. Stella’s light hop taste can be polluted very easily with unclean lines. The place was packed but we were seated in 15 minutes. Great service from Jesse even though he had numerous customers!! We drove all day and stopped in while our home warmed up. Great choice!! We’ll be back.
