Was a bit nervous to try because of all the negative reviews, but glad I did. First off, everyone in the cafe was super polite to us from the lady at the front taking orders to the people behind the counter cooking. I found the food delicious. The crepe was very light and delicate, the eggs fluffy, and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Amazing rolls. Also the coffee was an exquisite cup of coffee. The latte was amazing and perfect. I found the food portion perfectly filling and it did not make me uncomfortably full. I encourage people to come in and try. They make their food with locally sourced goods and are delightful people to talk to. Also for people who have gluten intolerance they can make GF crepes. Delicious artisan breakfast.

Thought we were getting punked when the receipt for 4 bagels 2 chai’s with 2 shots of espresso added to each and a Coca-Cola totaled to $65. No one in the store but waited about 20 minutes. Then I realized their espresso machine is just a breville…. same one I have at home. If you’re going to charge around $4 per shot have a real espresso machine at least. We frequent Winthrop but wont be back. Bagels were good, but not $65 good.

This is a fantastic stop for breakfast. My family enjoyed a bit of everything. The barnyard sandwich was a fun start to a cold day. However they get their pastry to do what it does to my mouth is beyond me.

this is a really cute little cafe! their sandwiches and salads are immaculate and they have a amazing variety of beverages. my BLT sandwich is one i won’t forget anytime soon. the portion felt perfect for lunch-that specific size that doesn’t make you feel very full at first but settles in quite nicely.

I wish we would have come here first! The food is fresh, everyone in our group of 6 loved their food. The lunch sandwiches were excellent, the crepe took a bit but worth it. Smaller serving sizes so if you’re looking for large portions you might be disappointed but this was the best tasting and freshest food we had while in town for the weekend. We will definitely be back for more!

Wait times are crazy long. 40 min. To 1h15m that’s what they kept telling everyone, even when most tables were empty. A lot of people left before ordering. The kitchen is open and it seemed they could not prepare more than one dish at a time. Coffee and food were good. Very few pastries to choose from.

Prices are extremely high, even for “fair trade certified organic” coffee. The service was subpar and the lady was extremely rude to us. Service was very slow too. Let’s just say you don’t get what you pay for in the case of this cafe. You’ll actually leave feeling bad about your choice of cafe, your finances, and your quality of service and food/beverage. Highly recommend another option, like the lovely coffee shop next door that was extremely nice the day before when we stopped in, and actually had good prices.

The decor is beautiful and the food tastes good, but the portions are tiny—more like snacks than meals. The staff is strict about menu changes, and the space is cramped. It’s better to order to go.
Service was disappointing. The cashier was rude, kept nagging the cook about breakfast ending at 11 a.m., and prioritized other customers who ordered after us.
Prices are high for what you get. This place seems designed for resort guests looking for something upscale. I wouldn’t come back unless I had no other choice.

Impromptu first time trip to Winthrop. We saw the menu on the door which was full of unique crepes and fresh organic ingedients. So we HAD to try it. When we went inside, the menu on the chalkboard above didn’t have some of the items I was so eager to try. They said they were only serving their lunch menu. It was about 1:30pm. They closed at 4pm, so I was curious when “dinner” menu was available. That was a tad disappointing. Lunch menu seemed to have limited options from what I read outside. I ordered the Chicken and Tomato Crepe. It was delicious. My husband and daughter each got sandwiches that they really enjoyed too. Portions are smaller than expected for the price paid. Sandwiches came without any sides. The staff was friendly and the food came quick. Overall a great place and atmosphere to eat. Just wish I could have chosen from other things on the menu.

Best espresso I have had in a long time—a must stop for coffee lovers. We returned a second time during our short time in Winthrop. Fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for visitors to the area!
