Olive kitchen was delicious. The neighborhood is a little sketch but the restaurant itself was quite spacious inside and very clean. We ordered the chicken and goats, both were very tasty and flavorful. Portion size is pretty large. I recommend eating the dishes the Somali way with a banana on the side.

I ordered on Uber Eats so I can’t say much about anything other than the food. But the food is delicious! The mixed vegetable dish and rice are my favorite. I didn’t like the goat too much, and preferred the beef stew, but that may just be my general preference and nothing to do with the quality of the food. The quality of the food is fantastic, everything tastes flavorful and fresh. The quantity is also amazing. I ordered two times from here and those two orders have covered lunch and dinner for the past 3 days! Amazing restaurant 🙂

I’ve lived next to this place for two years and have always smelled it walking past so I finally decided to try it. I am not a fan of goat but saw it recommended a lot so I gave it a try. I’m glad I did, the meat was tender and delicious, the rice was flavorful, and all of my sides were equally as good. My to go box was filled to the brim with plenty for two meals.

The food was not the best. The rice and philly steak were spicy, my son couldn’t barely eat it. The sambus and buur were old and hard as a rock, too much dough and burnt food. I couldn’t even taste it because of the way it looked. It was the worst buur and sambus, I’ve ever tried, I will NOT be coming back again. The customer service was horrible.I wouldn’t recommend.

Great Somalian restaurant.
There was no menu posted but after reading the reviews we went for the goat and rice entree.
We were very happy with our decision.
The goat was flavorful and it feel right off the bone. The rice was perfect with unique flavors. Having been to Minnesota many times I am ashamed to say this was my 1st Somalian restaurant experience, but we will be back!!

Olive Kitchen has the best Somali food in Minnisota. My friends and I ordered rice with goat meat (was’lad) and it tasted amazing. Our host was very friendly and gave us the best customer service. He kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything. The Restaurant was very clean and well decorated. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
