I had finished a movie and thinking about what to eat for dinner. I got on the app and quickly looked through the menu. I choose my food and paid for it. According to the app it would have taken about half an hour. I took my time and walked around for a bit. I saw the time was getting closer. I think I walked in maybe 7 minutes early and was greeted. I said I’m here to pick up my food and directed to a section that handles that. I confirmed who I was and picked up my food. They put two small card board to keep the food balance in the bag. All my food was present and still warm. I would definitely do business here again.

Wow I was so excited to have olive garden as carbs are a treat for me! I ordered the eggplant
Parmesan Parmigiana with upgrade to Alfredo pasta. I chose the salad for my side as well as spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. The portions are amazing as always for Olive Garden but the taste ugh yuck no flavor at all on the Alfredo it was so gross, the salad I asked for fresh parm still received the packets and the pita chips where like rocks for the spinach dip! I’m posting a picture too because for pick up this sure was old looking

Came in for a quick lunch with my husband yesterday was sat in keirson/ Kirsten not sure if that’s correct had to ask the host for her name since she didn’t bother to introduce herself. From beginning to end of service we were met with attitude and eye rolls from our server instead of good service. She rushed through our order forgot multiple things throughout entire service mind you it wasn’t busy. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 20 years started as a server now in food and beverage distribution. So trust I know how I should’ve been met and handled during service. Please talk with staff about keeping unwarranted attitudes off of the floor and take your time and pay attention to what your doing.

Had a young, up and coming, awesome waiter. He was easy going and attentive. He got our food to the table while it was still hot and kept our glasses topped off.
I’d recommend this place just for the gr8 service but the rest was good, too.

Olive Garden standard fare, so not the best Italian food; bit very tasty and filling. Service was impeccable. My son had gotten our table and I had asked to move to accommodate an elderly guest and the staff was more than happy to comply with a smile.

Olive Garden offers a nice mix of reasonable prices and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The fresh salad with their signature dressing is always a highlight for me. Appetizer favorites include the crispy calamari and classic mozzarella sticks—perfect for sharing.

I usually go for the fettuccine Alfredo, which is creamy and comforting, though it could use just a bit more seasoning. The only disappointment was the tiramisu, which lacked the richness and flavor you’d expect from a classic Italian dessert.

Overall, it’s a solid spot for anyone looking to enjoy Italian dishes in a relaxed setting.

A Tale as Old as Time: Dinner at Olive Garden, Grand Rapids:

Inconceivable! One might think that a simple family dinner at a chain restaurant could never rise to the level of true adventure, yet at the Olive Garden on Alpine Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan, we discovered a quest worthy of legend—one filled with endless breadsticks, heroic portions, and service as true as “as you wish.”

After a brief stroll through the shops along Alpine Avenue, my two young adventurers—my strapping 17-year-old son and my gracious 20-year-old daughter—and I stormed the castle (or rather, walked into the warmly lit dining room) for an evening meal. The atmosphere was welcoming, the tables ample, and the promise of unlimited salad and breadsticks loomed like a miracle from Miracle Max himself.

We began, as all great stories do, with the famous house salad: crisp greens, tomatoes, olives, pepperoncini, and croutons, tossed tableside with that signature dressing. We gobbled huge plates of it—refills appearing as if by magic—washing it down with sodas. The breadsticks? Warm, garlicky, and utterly irresistible. “Life is pain,” says Westley, but these breadsticks? Pure joy. We devoured them with such fervor that, by the time our entrees arrived, we were nearly as stuffed as Fezzik after a feast.

My own quest led me to the Create Your Own Pasta: spaghetti twirled with hearty meat sauce and plump meatballs. A classic, robust combination—rich, savory, and topped with a generous snowfall of Parmesan.

My son, ever the bold warrior, chose the Seafood Alfredo—fettuccine enveloped in creamy Alfredo sauce with sautéed shrimp (and perhaps a scallop or two, as in their Seafood Alfredo variation). He devoured all the seafood and made a valiant assault on the pasta, leaving only a handful behind.

My daughter, true to form and like a good princess finishing her vegetables, polished off every bit of broccoli in her Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli addition, while leaving a respectable portion of the indulgent, cheese-laden pasta.

Our waitress was a true ally—friendly, attentive, and quick to right a minor wrong when the tabletop game device attempted to charge us for play we never engaged in. She handled it swiftly and graciously, proving that good service, like true love, conquers all.

In the end, the portions proved as formidable as the Cliffs of Insanity. Nearly defeated by salad and breadsticks alone, we brought home leftovers—my own dish providing a plentiful second meal the next day. This Olive Garden delivered an evening of comfort, flavor, and family bonding that felt nothing short of miraculous.

As you wish—for a reliable, hearty Italian-American feast with endless starters and attentive care—this location is highly recommended. Have fun storming the dinner table! You’ll leave saying, “This is true love—you think this happens every day?” Well, at Olive Garden, it just might.

The service & hospitality my wife and I received from Darnell this Sunday was EASILY the best service we have EVER had in a restaurant. As former servers ourselves, we can appreciate when our server goes above and beyond. Darnell promptly greeted us with a wonderful attitude and attempted to upsell us on drinks and appetizers in a thoughtful and meaningful way. He simply just did things without having to ask which should be the expectation. Things like bringing extra Alfredo for our entrees, refilling bread, refilling water, bringing a fresh to-go soup when I said I would keep the one I had to bring home all while having a fresh attitude. He did all this while another table was giving him a tough time for seemingly nothing and we thought his responses to the table were respectful and he did his best to please them when it was clear there was nothing he could do to appease them. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I wanted to make it clear to management that Darnell is the kind of team player I would do anything to keep on my team. Keep up the great work.

A very delicious and flexible all you can eat option.

– Never Ending Pasta Bowl – $14: You get as many dishes of pastas in any combination you want with the sauce of your choice. I had four different dishes over the course of one sitting and only paid $14. That’s a steal!

The first plate is 10 oz and every one after is 5 oz. Most of the pastas were mainly the same taste, but different textures. They were dense, FILLING, but generally good quality and a great foundation to the experience.

If you want chicken, meatballs, or sausage on top, you have to pay $5 EACH PLATE that you add it to, so that is a bummer.

– Spaghetti and Meat Sauce: Thicker pasta than I am used to with spaghetti, but generally good. The meat sauce was not as meaty as I’d like, but it was to a point where it is still within tolerance (and possibly my preference).

– Fettuccine Alfredo: Standard. I’ve had fettuccine alfredo several times and felt it needed something almost every time if there wasn’t chicken or something else added. If you get it, this would be the one dish I’d highly recommend adding the chicken to. Good over all, though.

– Rigatoni and Garlic Herb Sauce: New one for me. The huge tubes are a bit odd texture to me. It was actually quite practical for scooping up the sauce.

The garlic herb sauce has a powerful garlic flavor! I would not eat this on a regular basis, but if I had a strong craving for garlic, this would be my first recommendation. Just try a small bit, first.

– Angel Hair and Traditional Marinara: The angel hair was thinner than I expected. The marinara was zingy and almost a little spicy. I thought it needed more, so I did add some, but a little went a long way. It was still great, though. Better than I had expected since I almost always have meat with my spaghetti otherwise.

– Breadsticks: Soft inside but medium tough outer crust. One of the three was a bit dry, but they were generally moist and good. A standard breadstick that is a bit on the dense side.

– Salad: This was my favorite, actually. I like ranch…I mean dressing…BAH! I like salad. You order the salad to your preference ahead of time. If you don’t like a lot of dressing, make sure you specify that because they do add a lot (which I like).

I skipped the olives. The onions were a bit more abundant which I liked. The tomatoes could have been cut in half (which I did myself) since they were larger (slices). The pepperoncini peppers they added were on the spicy side, wholesome tasting, but still they had a lot of bite. I liked it and it added a complexity that really matched everything overall and was well balanced. The lettuce was crisp and moist. They are famous for their house salad and I can see why.

My wife’s meal and comments:
– Zuppa Toscana: The soup broth had a bit of a kick.
– Chicken Parmigiana: Nice and succulent.
– Gluten-Free Rotini with Traditional Marinara: It was okay.

– Service: Our waitress was amazing. She was never away for more than a few minutes and was always looking into our needs. She was previously a cook so she knew the menu very well, which was helpful for gluten-free ordering for my wife. Her recommendations were spot on.

The only thing is that the menu is very confusing and inconsistent for gluten-free options. The website says one thing and the menu another. We ended up having to defer a lot to the waitress and even then she had to confirm a couple things. They need to go through their menu and clean that up. Also, the kiosk at our table did not take our gift card and the server had to do it manually.

– Atmosphere: VERY clean and professional while maintaining an ability to bring kids and wear casual clothing. It was super quiet with a warm feeling. The artwork on the walls had a lot of historical Italian themes with some semi-modern approaches. The bathroom had a cool kids step that folds.

– Conclusion: This is a great representation of Olive Garden and their niche in the market. I highly recommend it!
