The food came out quick didn’t have to wait. This place is bigger than the one in Wellington.
Raphael was absolutely amazing. His section was busy and he still maintained excellent customer service and excellent time management making this experience top notch. The food quality is the best – very fresh – and the soup consistency was awesome which in my OG experience, that’s rare.
Overall 10/10 experience and I would definitely come back
The waitress finally made it over, and got our drink orders. We both tried the flavored Tea and it was surprisingly very good. I would recm’d getting it with unsweetened Tea and a separate glass full of ice, as it comes out a bit warm for some reason. We assume they use a room temperature or slight warm tea to dissolve the flavorings. Still good once you add the extra ice and cool it down though. My wife ordered the breads ticks and salad and she always gets the never-ending bowl of Alfredo Sauce to dip her breadsticks in. The breadsticks were the best part of the whole meal. Warm, and fresh…and delicious when dipped in the Alfredo. The salad was not that great. Huge chunks that had to be cut down. Not enough dressing, and way too many croutons. Big chunks of purple onions, only 1 black olive and 2 very small pepperocini peppers. Neither of ate more than a few bites. The salad was room temperature…not cold like usual. This changes the whole taste to me.
The wife ordered the eggplant parm, I got my usual Tour of Italy. I’ve ordered the same thing for years. Honestly, neither of us were impressed. The eggplant was drenched in oil, and did not even have enough cheese and sauce to cover it. Seems the cooks just fried it and plated it, and did not fmdrain off the oil on a paper towel at all. Not appetizing. My tour of Italy came 9ut and the lasagna was just a flat pile of what was supposed to be lasagna, but just looked like a mound of lasagna ingredients on the plate. When the girl put the plate down I jokingly remarked ‘HEY! This lasagna doesn’t look like the picture in the menu.’ Ha ha. – The waitress just smirk, seemingly agreeing, but unamused. The fettuccine was dry, and the chicken parm was salty and very dry…and resembled the wife’s eggplant with the oily texture.
Neither of us finished out food, and when it came time to leave, we were able to easily pay using that tabletop Zook device…but then we sat there for nearly 10 minutes just waiting for a server to come near so we could get a to go box. We waited so long…the Zook device didn’t even show that green light on top proving the check was paid anymore.
All in all, this meal cost us $69.00 with the tip and we both left there thinking we would likely not be returning anytime soon.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted. OG was always our ‘Go To’ for our anniversary mainly because of nostalgia…but after all these years, the nostalgia is all that remains. We’ll be choosing a different place from now on.
