With Olive Garden your expectation is the food will be pretty close to great at any location. The biggest variable is the service. Upon entry, went up the host table, said hello, and stated the number in our party. The person dressed in black without a name tag did not respond or make eye contact. A touch later, the person called on the walkie for a host. The person walked off. Once escorted to our table, it was dirty, the same person turned out to be our waiter. I said hello again. We ordered our food. Every time something was delivered we said thank you. No response. The food runner (a different person) did not ask bring or ask to add parmigiana to the soup. That must be against the by-laws of the company. On my trip to wash my hands others staff said hello to me. Now three hosts were huddled at the table and the tone of the conversation was not pro Olive Garden. The manager did come by twice to ask how things were going. But without our food delivered we did not want to say anything. Things did not get better and we could not wait to leave. Thankfully, NJ has plenty of Olive Gardens. I am a fan of Darden Restaurants and look forward to future visits. In

First time visiting this location. My friend from the Ymca took me there for lunch. The service from the staff is very nice. The relaxing atmosphere was great not to mention the food absolutely delicious with plenty to have for dinner.

Amazing! Was pleasantly surprised with their menu options, the portions, the price and the bottomless salads and soups. Very pleased with the taste. They are very generous with their portions and even include a basket of parmesan sprinkled bread sticks (freshly baked). We were both very pleased with the grilled salmon and chicken parmesan pasta. The salad came in a large bowl and the selection of soups were impressive.

Sadly we decided to visit Olive Garden at rout 22 in Union to celebrate our Valentine’s Day today. We ordered a sparkling bottle of water, the water was like ambient temperature and the waitress brought glasses with no ice and lemons, and then we had to request them. It was around 15 minutes waiting for. After that we asked to swap the soup for salad but waitress called her manager to ask for that swap. Manager came to the table and she stared arguing that she has 19 years with the company and they can no make those swaps, we told her we were not asking food for free we are paying for food and servic she answered again they can not swap a soup for salad and we clarified her one more time we were not asking to get both at same time, it was because my husbands soup had a bitter taste that make him ask for change It was a simple situation which could be managed in a better way especially as she mentioned she has 19 years working for Olive Garden. This manager should be take more customer service and problem solver trainings
