As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, who happened to be the owner. We were promptly seated at a booth and given some breakfast menus. It definitely hasn’t lost it’s charm from previous owners, in fact some items were added.
After we ordered, the food arrived somewhat promptly, but didn’t seem as tasty as expected.
The coffee seemed like it was simply poured from a big-ole pot that hasn’t been cleaned out in a while, possibly just using unfiltered tap water.
The corned beef seemed seared over a scorching hot pan, same with hash browns. As a matter of fact, both didn’t seem quite fully cooked. We didn’t have much time that morning, so I just went for the eggs, which were delicious by the way. It’s really hard to mess up scrambled eggs.
Anyway, once we were done, the total was given and we were able to get on our marry way.
If you’re in the area and there is absolutely no othere alternatives, then do give them a chance, as they do have some really good deals/options on the menu, but don’t expect a fine dining experience.

We were greeted by a friendly server in a nice quiet environment. I don’t need 15 TV’s for a great dining experience. My Breakfast Horseshoe was cooked to perfection! The hash browns were actually browned, the gravy was awesome and the eggs perfectly over easy. This was the best I have experienced in the area.
If you’re into the food and not the frills, this is the place for you.

Just stopped here on our way to Chicagoland and it was amazing. We pulled into the parking lot and knew it would be good because at 9am on Saturday the parking lot was packed. The locals know what’s up. Best burger, best sweet potato fries…best food. Go there.

I found this place after a bad experience at Kim’s Place (see other review)… They sat me quickly and immediately took my order. Food was decent and waitress was nice. Much nicer and cleaner inside than Kim’s… Was looking for breakfast all day and this fit the bill. Would definitely visit again if I was in Jacksonville!

We had one of the worst breakfasts we’ve ever had .. b&g biscuits were raw in middle and almost burnt on the outside … The other meal was just as bad service was decent food totally wasn’t worth the stop couldn’t even eat more then a lil bit.
