Prices were a bit on the higher end but you definitely get your moneys worth.

The complimentary focaccia bread was i probably could’ve just eaten that for my entire meal.

Cant go wrong with any of the pasta choices. I got the short rib ravioli, and my friend got the cacio e pepe. Both were phenomenal. For desert we did a chocolate mousse and the tiramisu.

The mousse felt unreal, it was beyond smooth and the tiramisu was 10/10.

Service was amazing, our waitress was super kind and helpful when giving suggestions or checking in with us, and there were always people going around making sure our waters were full.

It was a bit dark but was a nice mood at night with the snow outside, just kinda hard to take some pictures

Olio E Piu’s restaurant week offerings were delicious. Our group of three chose to order one of everything on the restaurant week menu and share! It was all superb. The desserts were divine! Olio E Piu’s atmosphere is beautiful and the service was second to none. Can’t wait to return.

We celebrated a birthday here last night and everything was flawless from start to finish. The atmosphere is top-notch with such a great vibe – perfect for a special occasion. The highlight of our evening was the service we received from Anthony. He was phenomenal! Incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. He truly went above and beyond to make the birthday celebration feel special. Can’t wait to return!

A high Google rating, great interior in the photos, we booked a table, really craving some Italian pasta… but they clearly don’t know how to make pasta here. It was overcooked noodles with milk and no salt.
Seriously? An Italian restaurant? Have you ever heard of «Al dente»?
The mac and cheese at Walmart tastes better!
And the sauce? They literally just poured 2% milk.
Go buy a ready-made Alfredo sauce at Trader Joe’s!
Even the cold, day-old, dried-out focaccia tasted good compared to the pasta!

We had a great experience at Olio E Piu. Service was excellent! Our waitstaff was very cordial, respectful and friendly. Our food had excellent taste and flavors. I particularly enjoyed my spinach salad. Cozy ambiance and the location is perfect in river north close to public transportation. Looking forward to coming back.

We celebrated my brother’s birthday at Olio e Più in Chicago, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From start to finish, the service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel celebrated.

We started with their happy hour, which was amazing – great drink specials and small bites that set the tone for the night. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much Bertin!

Olio e Più, originally from NYC and D.C., has now set its roots in Chicago! Walking into the restaurant, you’re greeted with warm, inviting vibes – not too dim, not too bright – just right, amidst the atmosphere.

The complimentary bread with accompaniments were a nice touch. We loved the sundried tomatoes, green olives, and kalamata olives. The focaccia bread was delicious, but I wished there was more, and maybe warmer.

Burrata Mediterraneo – The burrata was creamy perfection, with a delightful mix of cherry tomatoes, olives, and balsamic glaze. We cut it up and made mini bites with the pita, which was soft and fresh. 5 out of 5.

Fritto Primavera – The calamari and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Squeezing lemon over them and dipping them in tartare allioli elevated the crispy, battered seafood to the next level – the tartare allioli was so good we asked for another! The veggies shone brighter than the seafood, especially the zucchini. 5 out of 5.

Chitarra Alla Carbonara – This pasta was an umami bomb with its rich bacon flavor and creamy egg yolk sauce. 5 out of 5.

Agnello, Carciofi e Verdure – The lamb chops were beautifully accompanied by artichoke puree and mixed vegetable caponata, completing the dish. The chopped veggies and puree are what made this dish! 5 out of 5.

The Nocciola e Tartuffo Cheesecake – Wow… this was smooth, velvety, with a truffle crème légère that was otherworldly. Nicol’s recommendation didn’t disappoint. I’ve never had cheesecake like this before. 5 out of 5.

Exotic Panna Cotta – It delivered on its promise of exotic freshness, with pineapple and passionfruit sauce adding a tangy twist. 5 out of 5.

Throughout the meal, we found ourselves reaching for the saltshaker. We observed that some of our dishes lacked salt, namely the fritto primavera, pasta, and lamb chops. This was particularly noticeable when compared to offerings from their competitors. I would advise to consider enhancing the salt content in the dishes or ensuring each table has a saltshaker for convenience.

Finally, the service was fantastic. Nicol was attentive, knowledgeable, and ready with recommendations. She made sure that we had a special dining experience. The other staff members did a fantastic job of clearing our tables and replacing our silverware. We felt pampered and taken care of here. Thank you for a memorable night. We look forward to our next visit for a special occasion!

EDIT: I gave olio another shot as they were generous to have me a second time as my first experience was not good. and this time, there were no mistakes made and everything was pretty smooth. the order was taken right and the manager was humble to check upon us from time to time and the food was as good as the last time. just one thing i would recommend is to go on weekdays if you want a decent atmosphere cause during weekends, the place is super crowded and good luck with having a quiet and romantic evening if that’s what you are going for. overall, pretty happy with my experience.

NEVER COMING BACK HERE !! The place was so crowded and we could barely talk to each other and when the guy came to take our order, he had it all wrong because he was not able to hear us in that loud space and in the end we had to pay so much extra money for the stuff we didn’t wanted to have but because the server messed up listening to our order. The food was good though but i value my extra money spent than the food at this point.

Absolutely loved our dinner here. So many great options on the menu. It was difficult to decide. We sat inside, but the glass doors were open to the outside and it was very pleasant. It’s a very busy place, but it has a great lively atmosphere. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. They start you with a little amuse-bouche . Then we had the bruschetta Al Pomodoro appetizer. Our meals were the mushroom tagliatelle and the short rib ravioli. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had a couple of glasses of wine each with dinner. Would definitely return to this place on our next trip.
