We had a really great meal here. The pesto linguine pasta was flavorful and well constructed. The salmon was well cooked. The burrata, bruschetta, and angel hair pasta were also solid. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating as we had some toddlers with us. The host and one of the bussers didn’t seem that enthusiastic and almost a bit annoyed as we had a few toddlers with us. I understand that it was a white table cloth restaurant and having children isn’t ideal but we ate at 5pm and there was only one other family eating dinner at the time. In any event, the food was solid.

The food here is consistently excellent and the staff is lovely. My celery root soup was oh so good. They had a special fig salad wrapped in prosciutto that was to die for. I wish I had taken more pics. The lasagna was also very good. You can’t go wrong here.

Great ambience, service and menu. I was not impressed with the food prep. For example a medium rare lamb chops order came out well done. A burrata slaked was brought out with hard unripened tomatoes.

A local favorite and probably the best Italian restaurant in town. Their capellini, pesto, seafood linguine are my all time favorites. The roast chicken is THE BEST in town. The service and staff are always so attentive and fun. We go here at least once a month. Definitely give this place a shot.

Fine authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is just a beautiful little city. The city already has a holiday Christmas feel. The lights and decor are up, giving the city a beautiful romantic holiday hallmark feel. The restaurant has al fresco dinning and is set up nicely. They have heat lamps out, as its winter in California. This only means its below 70 but the heat lamps give it a cozy feeling sitting outdoors. The food was good. My wife got the duck stuffed ravioli with a cream sauce. She really enjoyed it. She believes it’s the best ravioli shes had, and she states that on her Italian heritage and having ravioli’s in Italy. It was so good, she had to break some bread to finish the sauce with it. She left a clean plate. I had the rack of lambs with sauteed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I enjoyed it, it wasn’t the best, but it was good. It had good flavor and was tender. I also got a side of thier polenta. It was grilled and covered in mazzola cheese. It had a weird flavor. Can’t say I enjoyed it. I mainly got it to try out and I’m going say wasn’t enjoyable. For desert we got the raspberry creme brulee and lemon tart. The creme brulee was fresh creamy with the sweet crunch, it was good. The lemon tart, tasted store bought and old. The crust was dry and did not taste fresh. It was tart, but tasted as if it was sitting out for days. So, the location is a big plus. Very romantic, great date night location. The food, I would have to say, stick to the pastas as its something they do great. I would try this place again.

3 stars for the bread. We had to ask for olive oil and balsamic (to dip) and that should be a given. Balsamic tasted like red wine vinagar, just off tasting. The sauce was so peppery/spicy like an arribiata- but was not labeled that on the menu. Chicken piccata was so sad..like boiled chicken in a lemon sauce. A total bummer for the whole family.

Rude and unprofessional service with nothing special about food taste or quality.

Always an enjoyable experience. I have been going here consistently since I was a kid and the place is still phenomenal. On the lunch menu, the house-made sausages are great. At dinner be sure to try the capellini pomodoro, a simple but well-executed classic.

When we arrived and were waiting to be seated, one older male waiter barked as us to move. I understand that there’s exactly 2 square feet of standing space between the door and the check-in desk thingie, but damn.

We eat at Olie often and always have a fantastic experience. The food is amazing. My favorite is the Tagliata di Bue – Beef tenderloin over a potato tart, arugula, shaved parmesan and truffle oil. The pear tart with warm caramel sauce is really fantastic and the Raspberry creme brulee is also a favorite. Oh, and don’t forgot to try the pasta dishes or many chicken dishes. The choices are endless. The staff is professional and knowledgeable.
