Wow… this one has gone down hill…
Normally I can order online and leave right after I click order and pick it up as soon as I arrive; about a 20 minute drive. This time I waited 15 minutes there… almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to actually show up at the register – whatever, maybe they were busy or understaffed, it happens.

But the problem was this exchange:

I check my bag to ensure all the items are there, they ALWAYS forget the side of olgas sauce, and I usually forget to check so thats on me. But THIS TIME I checked, and shocker, they forgot, I mentioned it and he went and got it after saying that I hadn’t ordered it… yes… yes i did, it was on the receipt. Upon return I showed him it was, in fact, on the receipt. His response? “Oh, I didn’t even read that.” My guy…. THATS YOUR JOB. YOU MARKED IT BLUE AS IF IT WERE IN THE BAG… its one thing “Oh I missed that”, we are all human and make mistakes, but…. YOU TOLD THE CUSTOMER… I. DIDN’T. READ. IT. I believe in giving grace and I’m a big supporter of a higher minimum wage…. but ffs, its moments like this that REALLY make me question that stance. I won’t be going back to this Olgas.

Edit
Nope. Im good Olgas kitchen. Your canned response is not needed nor wanted. The ONLY way you can make this better is to actually fix the issues rather than a generic ai auto response and a coupon for 10% off. Fix. The. Problem.

They opened at 11am, it was 11:40am and no one was at the counter. There wasn’t a bell to ring the back, so I “Said Hello” . ( in a polite voice, everything is cool at this point)We were the first Customers there and an another couple came in after us. The young lady comes out and says, “ Thank you for saying something. Most people just stand there.” Then proceeds to ask if it was okay if she sat the couple before taking our order. I obliged, it was fine. Then as I’m giving her the order you can tell that she wasn’t really actively listening as my co-worker and I had to repeat our orders quite a few times. We both ordered the same thing; cheese ball app, a fried chicken gyro extra garlic aioli sub grilled chicken, because the fried chicken would take longer to cook. Eventually she got the order correct and then proceeded to take two more orders before proceeding to the kitchen. All of a sudden online order people started coming in. Still no problem there…. Then 15minutes go by, the guy who came in after us received his order.. ok no problem …. Then 30 minutes go by, online orders going out back to back. It is now 45minutes. This is when I decided that when the next cashier comes out , that I will request a refund. As soon as this thought crosses my mind I hear, “ Tom your order is ready!” Mind you Tom came in after the first guy that came in after me and my co-worker came in. … what appears to be the manager hands Tom a really big bag of food. So of course I swiftly approach the counter and say, “ excuse me, but I was here way before tom ordered his food. I would like a refund.” The man who appears to be a manager, who could’ve used this as a way to deliver solid customer service. Then proceeds to give an excuse that Tom just had soup, and gives me a refund. No my apologies, no we’re backed up, no let me take care of something for you on your next visit. He just refunds my money and then proceeds to say that if you still want it you can have it. Why would I want to continue waiting? Mind you me and my co-worker drove an hour to Commerce for a client, we wanted to grab this for the road. Wish I could rate the food, but I never got it.

Food was OK. Their snackers are always great! The broccoli soup was not real hot and was lumpy. But waitress was very nice and kept checking on us. I did not complain about soup. Brought it home and thinned it out and it was fine.

I would not go here unless you have a lot of time and don’t mind a slow meal. But I don’t speak from direct experience. I went in and waited to be spoken to for around five minutes and left. There was one customer seated in the restaurant and me. Not a busy night, though it was dinner time.

While there are many positive service reviews, they seem less than credible…”Best Service Ever!” Dare we dream?

The seating is awkward, almost sacrificing comfortability for design and the tables were mostly dirty when we were being seated. When I was ready to order, I asked for the same thing I get at every other Olga’s location I go to. The Unlimited Soup and Salad with Snackers but with Olga bread instead of the Snackers. They told me they can’t do this when countless of their other locations have.

Had to block this restaurant from my DoorDash account as a dasher. They weaponize incompetence and move slow not caring how it negatively impacts dasher ratings. They mark orders ready online to feign efficiency. I arrived and they said 5 minutes and proceeded to take 20. They lack any sense of efficiency or work ethic

The team of servers at this particular Olga’s is outstanding. They are professional and courteous and yet fun to talk with. They are very attentive to all of their customers. I don’t often see this level of service these days. This store deserves a big shout out!!

Instead of cooking we decide to just uber eats some Olga’s. Of course they get the order completely wrong and ruin the meal. The kitchen is 14 year olds who don’t speak English or care to read the ticket. If you want a proper Olga go to Birmingham.

Great food and great service. We have been going to Olga’s for decades. Love it. Hard to find a good one now a days. First time at this location and Iit is very good. They have table service would I love. The tables were separated and the the plants we felt private. The restaurant was quiet and easy to talk eventhough there were other customers. The service was friendly and fast. The food was warm, fresh. The sandwiches were nice and full as were we. Thank for making this Olga’s wonderful like the Olga’s of my childhood. We will be back. So good.
