Tried this place the other day, and it wasn’t awful. This little cafe is a local favorite. The food was pretty good. But don’t, I repeat, don’t drink the water from there. I ordered sweet tea like I always do, and I thought that the glass she gave me still had soap in it. I asked the waitress about it, and she said that just the way the WATER tastes out here. It was terrible. So I ordered a Coke instead, but it’s still mixed with the water. It was drinkable, but it was still gross. Take your own drink with you if you go here. Won’t be going back here anytime soon.

Nice cafe with made from scratch comfort food, a salad bar, 3 kettles with pinto beans, taco soup and chili beans and corn bread and a blue bell ice cream bar included with most meals. Fresh cut fries, steaks, 1/2 pound hamburgers and great service for just a couple dollars more than a number 1 at the Golden Arches. Remember to bring your appetite.

The owners, David and Tammy, were absolutely dear and pleasant. They are hard workers- diligent, and you can see they care about each customer that comes in and out of those doors, as well as the restaurant and food they serve. I appreciate their faith in God.
Everything is clean, in order, and welcoming. They have gone out of their way to make their restaurant inviting and accommodating for customers’ needs.
It didn’t feel like much of a wait for the food at all! And it wasn’t, really. I enjoyed the decor and conversations in a relaxed environment.
All ingredients and food were fresh. The amount you get for price is plenty generous. Everything tasted AMAZING! I would 10/10 eat there again. Good job y’all, and God bless you and your staff!

First off… walked in place was so clean i thought they were closed, amazing. Amazing service; sweet ol lady took my order and the owner i assume sat at a table across from me and made small talk for a few minutes. Ordered Chicken primavera it came out looking perfect and tasted perfect! Then i was told they have complementary food along with my meal including a salad bar with any toppings u could think of, beans of all kind, corn bread and icecream! Such an awesome place new favorite restaurant by far. And very affordable 10/10 for me

What a wonderful little spot to stop for some burgers and fries. The atmosphere was welcoming and nostalgic. The man who took my order was quite the gentleman; making sure I was comfortable as well as offered me a glass of water while I waited for my to go order. And the food was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place. The next time I come, I think I’ll order the catfish. Looking forward to that!

Very clean place, all the drinks taste awful because of the water.
All the food was bland except the fries.
My hamburger stake was in a soup of brown grave. The mabank location seems to be much better.
Everyone was really nice though.
