It’s a really nice place to eat and off the beaten path, but it’s really close to I75. A truckers delight due truck parking and very clean restrooms, truckers can spend the night for $20. The brisket sandwich was really good with the owner ‘s sauce, and the chicken was a little dry but good. I loved the potatoe salad while the other person thought it was ok. 5 $$$. Total lunch was $42.00 without drinks.

I ordered the Half Chicken, which comes with two sides. I chose coleslaw and potatoes. The portion was large and filling. The chicken tasted okay, but not amazing — there was even a slight off flavor I didn’t really like. What I did enjoy was the atmosphere: sitting out on the pavilion with a nice breeze made the experience pleasant.

First off, this will be a kind of mixed review. Due to the fact that it’s definitely catered more towards the truck drivers rolling in.

So… the food. I had the 5 meat platter because I wanted to try most everything without spending everything. But everything was a bit… dry. So I’m giving it a 3/5. The smokyness and the flavor were great. I liked the wings the most, followed by the turkey and then the ribs. Everything had a LOT of meat on it, especially the wings. But the sausage, however, seemed to be store bought and had a basic smoke added, and the brisket was VERY VERY dry almost to the point of being jerky-like. Which I was definitely disappointed about. Because brisket is a staple for BBQ across the US. The beans also seemed to just be store bought, but the potato salad was great. The BBQ Sauce was tangy and sweet. And although I prefer a lot more heat. I loved it regardless.

Overall, this place has a great atmosphere if you don’t mind the idling trucks. The place is cute, clean, and comfortable. Especially for outside seating. The woman working there seemed friendly enough, and she was very helpful and patient with me taking my time to order. I would definitely come back. And if we’re comparing food strictly to what’s easy to access for truckers, then I would give the food a 4/5… except the brisket. It was way too dry.

Food isn’t bad but expected more for my baked beans. Tastes and looks exactly like pork and beans for $12 a quart and the way they cut the brisket Lucky i have them a 3 star for food flavor off brisket is good.

If I could give zero stars I would, the bbq brisket is trash, I paid 17.00 for this mess, its not real bbq, meat was old, cold and didn’t taste about nothing. The 1 star is for the cold Mr. PIBB… good grief This is a child’s sandwich too. Smh

First thing is, I would like to say is the other reviews are correct. They are exceedingly rude and uninviting.
I was looking forward to some good food And a quiet place to park Unfortunately I received neither.
The food was disgusting. Like most truck drivers I do appreciate good food Especially
Good barbecue.
I think a hipster with a coleman grill could do better!
On to
The parking……
It is crowded And jumbled up.
Pot holes in the parking lot enough to break your suspension.Or your kidney.
Come here if you’d like……. But I definitely would not recommend Unless you just had nowhere else to go!
P.S. The attached photo was supposed to be a Chicken Sandwich. They gave me a half a chicken into slices of bread and the potato salad was orange and smelled really odd. Needless to say I was not able to eat it.

I ordered Brunswick stew and 2 lbs of brisket.

This place is a Carnivores dream. The brisket is sliced thin and is still moist and tender. Perfect amount of fat to meat ratio but I like my briskets untrimmed. Good smoke flavor you can immediately smell the smoke after opening the container.

The Brunswick stew is honestly unlike anything I’ve ever had. I really liked it. It was gone within 2 miles of the store.

2 southern gems running the window with great attitude and charm.

I’ll be back in the area next week and I’m definitely hitting this place up again.

Pork sandwich (small) with potato salad. Add your own sauce, mild, and should offer a hot version. Large drink. $ 17.39 cash used visa $18.08, they don’t tell you it’s an extra charge. Hits the spot but had better next to Love’s! Dusty with all the trucks on the dirt lot. Adds to the flavor

My first visit to Ole Rudy’s was a delightful experience, despite being a bit on the pricey side for me. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the ample parking available. Overall, it was a peaceful night that allowed me to unwind and get some much-needed rest.

$12 for a brisket sandwich that’s about 70% fat is wild. I expect some richness with brisket, but this was mostly grease with barely any actual meat. One bite in and it felt like I paid premium price for trimmings. Super disappointing — definitely not worth the money.
