My brother took me here while I was visiting Boise and it did not disappoint! It’s exactly what you think of when picturing a indie bookstore & brewery. They have a nicely curated selection of books, and local art, with plenty of cozy places to sit. To drink you can choose from their own brewed beer—Alliteration Ales, as well as wine, cider, tea, kombucha, and mock-tails. I would be visiting way too often if I were a local!

The atmosphere here is amazing. It was so nice to grab a drink, peruse the shelves, and then settle into a chair with a book. The tea and beer selection looked excellent, but I’m not much of a beer drinker. The French press coffee was smooth and fruity and the bartender gave me a great recommendation on a cider. The place also advertises a couple book clubs I’m excited to look into joining. Great place to shop for a book and stay a while.

Great tea and mocktails. Wonderful atmosphere and extremely queer-friendly. Great spot to find books. Quiet atmosphere to read or converse with friends. Most people only enjoy up to three drinks or less and don’t over do it which is my kind of place. In an up and coming neighborhood. The location used to be this really cool studio for a large installation metal artist with a great gallery space for local art that shit down quiet a few years ago. Went there a lot growing up. Nice to see it being revitalized by someone with just as great of an inmagination. The aesthetic is really nice too and engaging. I only paid $6 for my mocktail and it was delicious. I got a sparkling blueberry mocktail infused with florals if I remember right.

Just came here tonight for the first time after having dinner across the street (Black Moon)… Love the aesthetic, love the book selection, and the choices for drinks were pretty sweet. I got the Meriwether cider and my bf got a beer, and we got to sit and people watch with a good drink in hand. The owners paid attention to detail and it doesn’t feel forced–there’s stunning William Morris wallpaper, copper accents at the bar, interesting things on upper shelves… And this amazing sign that changes every few minutes. Reminds me of train station visits I’ve had on the East Coast. And BOOKS. I was worried this would be a trendy bar that said it was book related, and didn’t have anything aside from overdone vintage book decor, but they delivered. There’s post it’s on recommended books, and cool bookmarks, and I bought an art print of books also. I feel like this is one of my new favorite spots in Boise. ❤️ Also if you order tea, they have tiny hourglasses for steeping. LOVE a well planned and aesthetic place.

There isn’t food yet, but I feel terrible leaving a lesser review for something they haven’t had available yet. The atmosphere here is incredible. I love that they are giving new love to this adorable quirky building. Everything from tea to nitro brews, hang out explore the books on offer and gab with friends. This facility is delightful. The bathrooms are great. Please consider shopping & drinking here for an evening out.

Oh my…. I Don’t even know where to begin with this place. Is it a book store that sells booze? Or a bar that sells books? A home with a big kitchen that has books and beer for adults? Who knows, but it’s phenomenal. I personally couldn’t stop staring at the ticker board thing on the wall behind the bar. It was so satisfying to watch and listen to the letters fall into place and see the new message. There was a WIDE selection of homebrewed beers to choose from. Definitely something for everyone. I had the pleasure of going to this location specifically for a catered food event. And that food was TO DIE FOR. ☠️ I usually finish all my food and still feel room for more. But there was no room left in me. 5 courses and SO MUch beer… I learned my limits of delicious food. And still want more.

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! Great people, awesome concept of blending beer and books, eclectic book selection and amazing beers on tap by brewery Alliteration. Went last weekend and the place was hoppin! Got in, got our beers within just a few minutes and spent the rest of the time enjoying company, enjoying the atmosphere and drinking some great tasting beer. Excited to see this place finally open, will certainly be back!

What a freakin cool place! Such a variety of drink options, great staff. The vibe and ambience are spot on for adults who want to chillax. Reminds me of the good ol’ days at The Library Coffeehouse in Meridian, but now we’re adults and we drink different things. The books were awesome, I loved the handwritten recommendations. Greeeeat decor and furniture. I love that they host events. Really cool place, the beer was tasty, the cider was delicious. So glad I stopped by and enjoyed meeting a friend here!

I VERY NICE different kind of tap house. They have other beverages. Lots and lots of books. It is decorated is very contemporary setting. The servers are so very nice and great conversational people working there. It is a much slower pace and less loud people drinking and carrying on. The chairs were so very comfortable. Definitely a different class of people coming here for conversation and a cold one. A VERY UNIQUE place to get a beer and just relax. I was their first client to ask for a flight of four and look at the real book they turned into a serving disk.

A new beer, cider, kombucha and wine bar from alliteration ales combined with a bookstore from the Lit Room. Best of both worlds, great cozy space for either gathering with friends over a beer or for a quiet spot to read or study, best of both worlds. No food yet but potential for it to come later once they are more settled in. Great prices on drinks too, would definitely recommend you give it a try. They also allow well behaved dogs on a leash too.
