We visited Olde Stone Steakhouse for the first time on New Year’s Eve with very high expectations, given how often it’s recommended.

The upstairs dining room is absolutely beautiful—being in a former church makes the atmosphere one of the best parts of the experience. Service was great throughout the night, and both the Caesar salad and wedge salad were standouts, with the Caesar being one of the best things we had.

Unfortunately, the porterhouse for two didn’t live up to the hype, especially for the price. While it was cooked well, it lacked flavor and relied heavily on sauces. Midway through dinner, we could feel vibrations from a DJ downstairs, which was distracting for what’s meant to be a high-end dining experience. Dessert was solid but not memorable.

Overall, the vibe and service were excellent, but the food didn’t justify the cost

Tried this restaurant for valentines day atmosphere seemed very chaotic even for valentines day. Upstairs was gorgeous loved how they transformed this church into a dining room. However there definitely is a disconnect between the ‘front’ and ‘back’ of the house. Dan our waiter was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable who, unfortunately, had no support from the kitchen and seemed like he was catching complaints all night because of it. Lollipop lamp chops were good but not memorable. Filet mignon was not cooked to request. Asked for medium rare and got well done. My date ordered duck which the breast was over cooked, and somehow cold. The truffle fries were good but seemed more like bar fries than what you’d expect at a fine dining restaurant. Finally the drinks. I ordered a gin gimlet which was poorly mixed. My date and I both thought it might have been the gin we requested. Tried a vodka gimlet and had the same issue. However, I came home and made one with the same gin and immediately realized the bartender either did not shake it, or didnt use crushed ice, or both. This restaurant was not what I expected from a New Hope fine dining restaurant. They have a lot to fix to be on par with Stella and Odette’s especially for the price!

Let me start out by saying I gave four stars for food only because I didn’t have any. But I hope to someday soon try and I will alter my rating based upon that experience.
Oldestone Steakhouse is a transformed church, and simply spectacular on the inside. My girlfriend’s and I sat at the bar and we each had a specialty cocktail.
I asked the bartender to make my espresso martini with tequila, as I often do prefer it served that way.
My drink was incredible, in fact, even my girlfriends enjoyed their drinks thoroughly.
I also think it’s worth mentioning, the glassware that our drinks were served in, I appreciate the quality of the stemware exponentially! My girlfriend drinks, sport, garnished, beautifully, service at the bar with spectacular, and we enjoyed having conversation with the manager as well!
I look forward to returning one day, sitting at a table (after my bar cocktail, of course), and indulging in a big fat juicy steak!

I visited last week with my husband for the first time. We were celebrating his birthday and were so pleased! We stumbled upon this place and were excited to try it, just based off of how unique it looked. I ordered the crab cakes, which were amazing! The service was great, everyone was super friendly and it was an all around great experience. We would absolutely love to come back again! So unique. Nothing like it!

The only thing better than the food, drinks and warm ambiance is the service (and I left here stuffed with course after course of incredible dishes, and also four drinks deep). If you’re dining here for a special occasion, be sure to note it in your reservation: My husband’s and my anniversary evening out was even better because it felt like we were absolutely doted on from drinks to dinner—which, honestly, is the kind of attentive-but-not-intrusive service that’s turning out to be a consistent hallmark of our visits here.

The interior was stunning and the food was of the quality expected in this price range. The presentation was also very nice, what really stood out was the service from being greeted at the front desk to the farewell. Our server Freddy C was so very attentive yet not intrusive, I would say perfect.

We visited for dinner and started with an excellently prepared and served cocktail at the beautiful bar on the first level. We then were escorted upstairs to dine. The dining room was wide open but we had a cozy seat for two facing the very large and unusual mural. You could envision the space having been a church at one time. We had a wedge salad and shrimp mornay for a first course and the shrimp was so incredibly delicious and hot! The second course was the NY strip steak, perfectly prepared and served with three sauce choice because we wanted to try all three. Also enjoyed the shrimp garlic dish- beautifully done with broccolini. Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach – a must, greatly enjoyed.
Our server was excellent! We were waited on beautifully and not intrusively, and as it was an anniversary we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne! We had a great experience all around. Only reason for one less star is that the meat cut in our case didn’t seem like the top cut, and also the meal came out too fast while we were still enjoying the first course (timing is everything for the kitchen!!). We would most definitely go back and encourage people to go and spoil yourselves!

We went here on a date night and were super impressed. Very cool building from the outside, but the upstairs main dining room was stunning. We had a medium rare filet which was beautifully seared in the outside and cooked perfectly inside. My salmon was cooked house temperature, which was a little more done than I’d prefer, but shame on me for forgetting to specify my temp. Cocktails were great. It was a the perfect beginning to our night French onion soup was bomb, as was the spinach dip .

Wow! What a great choice for a nice Christmas dining experience!! My wife always wanted to dine here.

First is the decor. Well decorated for Christmas. Such a beautiful converted old church into a restaurant. We have had drinks in the bar area on the 1st. floor here, some years back and loved it. So we made our dinner reservations for Christmas night 2024.

We were directed to the upstairs dining room. It was gorgeous! The atmosphere, the decorations. As we were being seated, we noticed our jingle bell on a lanyard at our beautiful place settings. Great touch! As was the Christmas music playing in the background.

The entire staff was friendly from our hostess (who also can check in your coats) to our servers Michael & Max.

Michael & Max were excellent. They were very attentive to any of our needs. They were very friendly & professional.

Michael gave us the best suggestions for our meals & dessert. The steaks he suggested were excellent. He was so knowledgeable of the differences of how they were prepared. They came prepared perfectly. The sides we ordered were great. I loved the sautéed spinach & mashed potatoes. Delicious. A garlic hint in both.

I figured I may finish my 20 oz. steak, but I was surprised to see my wife finish hers. It was that good. The dessert was a 24 Ct. (Carrot) Cake. Wow! It tasted delicious. The icing drizzled across it just made it perfect. Our compliments to the Chef & The Baker!!!

Thanks so much to Michael, Max & the entire staff. I worked a job for years that took me away from family & friends at Christmas time. We appreciate you being there so my wife and I (and we could see many of other people seated around us) have a wonderful (Christmas) dining experience. Looking forward to a future return visit.
