My husband and I stopped for lunch at Olde Towne Tavern, 437 Nashua St., Milford NH 03055, on Thursday, Oct. 23rd for lunch. It was our first time there for lunch; due to the late lunch hour, we didn’t encounter any problem finding a parking spot. Upon arrival, we were shown to our seats immediately.
Our wait person, Autumn, took our order right away; the wait time for our food was minimal. I ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was delicious, creamy, with excellent flavor. The side garden salad was also fresh and crisp. My husband had a cup of French Onion Soup, which he also said had excellent flavor, and his Ceasar salad was perfect, too.
For dessert, we split the lava cake, featuring vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. After the soup, the chocolate dessert was delightful, and we would definitely have it again.
We were happy that we had stopped by for a late lunch; first impressions are always important. Thanks to Autumn, and her professional service, plus the excellent food, we will be going back for lunch at Olde Towne Tavern in the near future.
I shouldn’t be penalized for tasting a drink that was made incorrectly. The mistake wasn’t mine, yet I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. It left a bad impression and really took away from the overall experience. The food was decent, and our bill was around $200 and despite the poor service, I still left a generous tip. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled overshadowed everything else. Very disappointing service and not the level of hospitality I would expect.
My son ordered the burger with mushroom and bacon jam. All I heard is ‘yum’ then it was gone. If you order the Cobb salad, make sure you are hungry as the portion is very generous. I don’t love salad so coming from me it means alot when I say I was extremely satisfied. It was cold, crip, and tasty. I also had the onion soup. It was a bit salty and could have used e a larger piece of butterry bread for soaking up the yummy juices.
The ratio of beer selection of beer to food menu was on point. We went on a Sat afternoon after a hike. We hit it before it got busy. The staff is young, friendly amd with just the right amount of attentiveness. Having great staff is part of the good experience and kudos to yall for showing your best side.
I wish we could have stuck around to celebrate with your one year anniversary congratulations and Rock on!
Have fun!!
We’ll definitely be going back for dinner, and I’ll update my review then.
