Cozy storefront cafe serving breakfast, burgers & a casual American menu with lots of crab dishes.

Really disappointed! I’ve been wanting to come here for such a long time. We ordered our food to go online and the one staff member was very unapproachable from the beginning. First no utensils… found that our on the drive. The avocado toast had no flavor at not even a speck of salt. The tomato’s tasted old. I’m also allergic to bacon and they put my husbands bacon in with my side of potato’s so couldn’t eat them. My pancakes smelled so good but they weren’t cooked and super doughy. Gave it 2 stars cause the place was clean and cute. Customer service goes a long way but so does the actual food.

Used to come regularly because i absolutely loved the food. My dad and I raved to everyone we met about how good the breakfast is. We haven’t been in a year and what we experienced today was far from what we experienced in the times before. I am unsure if there is a new management or a new cook, but the food was nothing like what it used to be. Potatoes used to be the best and they were nothing like they used to be. Tasted like they had been heated in microwave. Pancakes completely burnt, can’t believe they sent it out. Portions are WAY smaller than they used to be and the country fried steak tasted completely different than it used to. Not sure what is happening but please fix whatever issue there is so we can continue coming. Unfortunately until then we will not be back:(

Sep 2024: Olde location but modern dining room. A more vintage looking decor would suit this place better. The eggs Benedict was a 6/10 and the turkey avacado sandwich an 8/10. Service was spot on. The tables smelled back. Saw them being cleaned with a greasy rag. That needs to be rinsed out with hot soapy water every so often.

First time visiting, and I saw that they had received recognition for the best grilled cheese. So, I just had to try their adult grilled cheese. Let me just say, it didn’t disappoint! Great food and service.

Decided to try Olde Town after not going in many years, I always remember them having fantastic breakfast options, unfortunately that was not the case this time around. The portions are rather small compared to the prices they charge and the food was just not good. The bacon had a funny taste, the potatoes were bland and the biscuits with the biscuits and gravy were hard, I couldn’t cut them with just a fork. Not sure what happened to this place but it’s definitely not what it used to be.

Olde town has been a staple in Mt Airy for as long as I’ve been alive. I have eaten here many times over the years and always recommended it to people. My visit last week for breakfast (my favorite meal of the day) was very disappointing to say the least from a food stand point. I’m not sure if they have a new cook, but the sausage gravy over potatoes was not good at all. Everything was very bland, there was barely any sausage in the mountain of gravy, the potatoes were way too thick and not cooked all the way through. I felt like I was eating raw potato smothered in something disguised as sausage gravy. I only had a few bites and pushed it forward to be discarded. Waitress was nice but nothing stood out about her service. I’m not writing this to put Old Towne down, I’m writing this in hopes that they will see this and improve the quality of food they put out and hold that standard at all times. I know it’s hard to be a restaurant these days and everyone has an opinion, but if the foods great people will just shut up and eat.

A local gem! Food is super yummy, generous, and arrived hot. We ordered the corned beef hash with a side of pancake and the firehouse breakfast platter. The hash has a nice crispy edge and seasoned just right. Pancake on the griddle, tender with a slight crisp edge, good texture. Country fried steak excellent! Crispy and juicy with a balanced gravy. Seasoned potatoes are good.
Service is excellent! We enjoyed our breakfast. Stop by if you’re passing through Mt Airy

DELICIOUS FOOD! The service was excellent as well. TONS OF FOOD! I came in starving and still couldn’t finish this VERY hearty meal. I got the country fried steak with home fries, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs with cheese and toast. My wife got the country chicken sandwich that also had sausage gravy on top. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely stop by for breakfast.

Incredible food! If you haven’t visited yet, do yourself a favor and go! Such a great atmosphere, and right on Main Street.

The best breakfast I’ve ever had in Maryland, and I’ve lived here for 42 years. We went this Sunday morning, and the food was absolutely fantastic! Hats off to the chef, he was working very hard and his food was absolutely AMAZING! Get there early, the place is very small but definitely worth the wait!
