I’ve been coming/ordering from this place for a few years now and I can say I like it. the steak is nice and tender. My favorite cheese to put is Black pepper cooper sharp. I recommend ordering the Garlic aoili which comes with grilled tomatoes, Fried onions and sweet peppers. The fries can be under seasoned at times. Even the old bay ones. Chicken tenders, although frozen I assume, are tasty and crunchy. Ranch is delicious and seems homemade. Yet to find a better cheesesteak in this area. Burgers are decent

Fantastic – one of the best ‘down to earth’ eateries in NYC. We stumbled across this place and thoroughly enjoyed it. With friendly staff; great service; and a fairly extensive menu selection – we had a great time. I would like to say that we will be back – but it is a long way from Oz. Perhaps one day. Well done.

Look, if you’re a displaced Pennsylvanian wandering 9th Ave looking like a deer in headlights, Olde City is your embassy.
It’s the only spot in Midtown where you can grab a Yuengling without some mixologist asking if you want a hibiscus float in it. Order the cheesesteak sandwich—10 ounces of ribeye on a real-deal Philly roll—and suddenly you forget you’re surrounded by Yankees fans and $18 salads.
It’s cheap, it’s greasy, and the staff is actually nice—which, let’s be honest, is the biggest culture shock you’ll find in this zip code

This was a highly anticipated cheesesteak experience. It ended in indifference. It’s good, I was expecting greatness. Mama Too’s is the gold standard for cheesesteak on the UWS, & possibly the entire city.
the meat is under seasoned. The bread standard average. Overall it’s a decent cheesesteak.
Price to portion is above average. The quality & cook of the meat was above what one would get from your corner bodega but below say Mama Too’s.
No where to sit. Standup counter top along the wall is the only option.

Not since TGI Fridays in the early ‘90s have I had mozzarella sticks this good!!!! Truly the best in NYC, so crispy, and the cheese was perfection. Highly recommend the vodka dipping sauce too!! 10/10

We had the authentic cheesesteak lunch-time deal with a beer and fries for $20 and it was unreal! The cheesesteak was so juicy, flavoursome and piping hot, tasted so good! Fries were seasoned really well. The Old City amber ale was great too. I highly recommend this place, me and my fiancée loved it! Svetlana made the whole experience even better her service was the best in NYC!

Great place, had the Cheesesteak, added onions, sweet peppers, and mushrooms. Amazing flavor. Chose the American cheese. Did not disapoint. Also had the cheesesteak eggrolls and the mango haberno wings. All reasonably priced, great service. They need more business.

Food is fine but service was terrible. We had two servers, one wearing a cap that was easy going and on top of his duties, checking on us. He went on break and we got service from another server that ruined the night. That server was a younger person, wearing glasses nad had a tattoo on his neck. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt but gave up on him when he was constantly on his phone and neglected his customers. We have to keep reminding him for minor things such as napkins to water. I hope he improves or at a minimum, stay of his phone and take care of his customers. Food was fine, but the experience with the second server ruined it. Felt like we were a burden instead of customers. I wish we had kept the initial server, he was great.

Unbelievable!!!! This is one of best Cheesesteaks I have ever had. The roll was was perfect for the meat and cheese.
I wanted the Authentic with Whiz and fried onions. It did not disappoint.
I’m a foodie and I will definitely be back, when I’m a lot hungrier.
