A delightful dining experience on the patio! We had the salmon crostini for an appetizer, which featured a generous helping of salmon and cream cheese spread. Next was a colorful salad. Finally we enjoyed tasty entrees of primavera (the sauce was extra creamy!) and walleye with morel mushrooms. Will be back next time we’re in Lanesboro.

Fancier dining than expected, so a little on the pricier side. Kitchen closes at 8:30pm, thankfully we called ahead and were able to get in a little later. Amazing lamb chops!! They didn’t ask for a temperature, came out medium – med rare. Super nice staff! Couscous didn’t really agree with my test buds.

Recently visited Lanesboro for the weekend and made a stop here for dinner. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions dining was restricted to outdoor seating. The service was excellent and the food was good. The lamb chops were a tad over cooked which resulted in a loss of a star but the reduction sauce was amazing and almost made up for it. Would go back again if I find myself in the area.

There was one negative in regards to the seating, but I don’t want to hold it against the restaurant given the hardships they are facing with the pandemic. We ended up seated on the sidewalk at a small table for two furthest away from the restaurant. We felt bad for the server that had to trek back and forth, but she did a great job. It was slightly uncomfortable with folks walking by within a foot or two of us ever couple minutes. Really didn’t feel like we had any privacy whatsoever which made our dining a bit awkward.

My wife and I have eaten here several times, and I can say without a doubt that Old Village Hall serves the best food in the area by far, the prices are very fair for the quality of the food and the service that you receive. If you are anywhere near this area I highly recommend this restaurant, they deserve all the business they can get, and I know we will be back again very soon.

Loved ❤ the lambchops! What a treat! Beef tenderloin was great. Salad with fresh greens, nice wine selection, excellent food. Pleasant attentive service. I do think the dining area could take more advantage of the old hall space- add some more ambiance- candles, background music, dimmer light. Overall very nice place- we were glad we reserved in advance!

We enjoyed both of our dinners here. The food was well prepared and delicious. On the first night, we sat in the outdoor patio. On the second night, it was raining, so we called early and had our dinner as take-out. That was great, too! I particularly enjoyed the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and my husband really liked the penne.
