This is a dive bar. The beer is cold and cheap.
The place has a lot of flies though. Like regular houseflies, not desperate barflies. (Maybe it has those too? I was only there in the afternoon.)
But seriously, the flies are so bad they loan out heavy duty flyswatters to the customers. I wish I was kidding about that…see the pic.

Been here twice. And will be coming again. Not many places left that is not a party bar. I love to have nice and quiet talk. My daughter and I both had a nice time both times we were there. We wanted to go to a bar but Nico’s was going to close soon. So we looked at other bars near us and a lot was in restaurants or like over a mile away. So we both googled this place and we said we will try it. So we did and we went back 2 days later. We will be back again on Saturday with a friend who also loves these kind of bars. And this bar is only 5 minutes away from my house. The people are nice, the prices are not crazy expensive, and the people seem to be friendly and made us feel like we were regulars. Maybe we will become regulars.

Stopped in for a few drinks and had a great time. Service was quick, KC is HILARIOUS, and the atmosphere felt welcoming as if I had been coming for years. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave!

So much to be said, 1.5 years ago, I was here and swore I’d never return. Fast forward to new owners, and wow, what a difference. I absolutely love a good dive bar, and this is it, but clean! They are making steady improvements. This is a mistake stop on our Sunday funday tours

Have to say, the new owners of this place are so cool
I have always liked going to Old Starks but now, Val, Ron and their staff are killin it!!! They’ve been putting in the work to and it shows! I’m not a local so when I go there it’s just under an hour and it’s totally worth it. The people are nice, the patrons are nice and the drinks are affordable!
