Best burger and best fries in the county. That’s all I need from there everything else is really good too but burgers & fries though down at the Sow omgand the fries best seasoned fries owners a little edgy lol but she pushes out some of the best food in the county and by far Eastport definitely the best restaurant in Eastport, Maine hands down wish they did breakfast

Quaint and casual bar restaurant. Old Sow has daily specials and generous portions. The seafood was had a nice flavor with a white wine sauce. There is a bar side and with nice weather it is a great place to grab a drink. Staff are friendly and check on you.

An hour and a half wait for food on a slow Thursday night was very disappointing, looking at other comments on here, they mirror our experience. I wish now I’d checked FB prior to stepping foot in this “
establishment”. If you are short handed on staff, it’s perfectly ok. You just need to be straight forward with guests and let them know. Your guests are what keeps you afloat and we all have agendas, an hour and a half wait for food, a 2 hour total experience, you had so many opportunities to be straight forward and take care of your guests and you didn’t. I hope this review is taken seriously by management and can be addressed and remedied rapidly.

After an hour and a half hadn’t received our food, which we ordered within 10 minutes of arriving. Still didn’t come after two “it’s coming right up” reassurances. Finally, Asked for the bill for drinks since food not coming. No apologies or explanations were offered. This was our third year we’ve spent a week in Eastport but first time at the Old Sow. We will be coming back to Eastport annually in future years but will not be coming back to the old Sow. Ended up going next door to the Happy Crab, where we’ve eaten before.

My husband and I stopped for dinner at about 6:00 tonight. We ordered our meal and were never served. Finally, an hour later we asked where our dinner was, and they hadn’t even started preparing it. So we paid for our drinks and left. No apologies. We will never return.

Family dinner here recently. As usual, they were out of a highly sought item: scallops. Fish and chips was the tempting replacement which we later heard the waitress tell a patron was no longer available. To be fair, it was Sat 12/28… All entrees were delicious and portioned to fill you up after the long wait. The local crowd was there keeping the place hopping! I was torn between a few entrees and settled on the Reuben sandwich with fries, dry and no pickles. It was delicious!

Delicious lunch after whale watching. Frosty beer and tasty margaritas. Fried fish and scallops were well prepared with reasonable portions. Grilled shrimp tacos were unique. Service was attentive. Nice view of water from back dining room.
