Our subs were exceptional. We had the steak and cheese, the hot chicken bocalo and the chipotle chicken. The bread was phenomenal. Everything tasted so fresh. I wish this shop was in South Charlotte, I’d support it often.

Loved the soft bread and the homemade pickles. I had a classic club this time. Seems like they can get busy around lunch leading to a small wait but nothing too upsetting. And when it’s a small business I am always understanding of waits during peak service times.

The subs are fantastic! Great little hole-in-the-wall. This is probably more of a locals spot, but everyone is welcomed. Most chain sub shops, imo, don’t match up to the taste of Old School Subs. I do wish they offered fries though.

This was my first time eating here and I know we will be regulars as much as I love sandwiches! They were so friendly to me and my daughter and accommodated all of my requests. The sandwiches were delicious and service was very quick! They have 2 cute little tables outside the shop also so you can sit and eat outside during this nice fall weather. All around 5 stars!

This is a new favorite! As I opened the sandwich, I could smell the fresh baked bread. (And then confirmed they actually bake their own bread) Fresh ingredients, great service, locally owned. Couldn’t ask for more.

When I eat sandwiches I am the kind of person who pulls of parts that aren’t up to par, and I ate this entire sandwich. They also locally source their vegetables and are friendly people with good values (I know that by their quote of the day on the wall ).

I am not local to Asheville , but every time I am there I must have some of Old School Subs food. I was browsing thru the comments and saw about bad service and throwing stuff at a customer totally shocked me but come to find out it was Black mountain location. I love their food on Sweeten road , they could hit me in the face with some of that POTATO SALAD any time. GREAT PLACE TO EAT AND REAL WARM ATMOSPHERE. I am pretty sure they will solve whatever problem happened at the other location if they wear Old School Subs name.
