This newly opened bakery & restaurant is off to a great start! Freshly made bagels, croissants, muffins and desserts together with sandwich classics ( e.g. salmon & cream cheese on an everything bagel with capers and onions; brisket, pastrami, liverwurst, corned beef etc. sandwiches; breakfast sandwiches served all day) make this a go-to New York deli delight. Besides the food, there are plenty of tables and a counter to catch a quick dessert or meal. Good Luck to Bob and his crew for this new addition to the local fare!

I’ve had the pleasure of going to this establishment several times now, and feel that this is exactly what our small town needed. The service is incredibly friendly and prompt, and you really get the sense that the owners are community oriented.
The food is excellent, with a variety of sandwiches, baked goods, and, of course, bagels. If you’re just intending to pick up a quick snack, or bagels for home, be sure to try the homemade cookies and cheesecake as well. You’ll be glad you did. The cheesecakes are so good, in fact, that I gifted them to several people this past holiday.
This establishment also offers plenty of seating, including a small corner for kids. This place is always full of smiling people enjoying themselves, and you’ll quickly see why.
Finally, the price. For the amount of delicious food you get, their prices can’t be beaten. I couldn’t recommend this place more, and hope that it remains the new hot spot in town for years to come.

Since opening, this place has been my boyfriend and I’s go-to spot for our brunch dates every other weekend or so. The people and the atmosphere both are warm and welcoming, and the service is outstanding.
Patty, the owner, by our second visit recognized us and greeted us by name!
The only time we’ve experienced any minor inconvenience was when we ordered takeout for a smoked salmon sandwich and a smoked brisket egg and cheese bagel and came to find the first sandwich did not have any smoked salmon on it once we’ve already gone and were ready to enjoy our food. Upon finding this, we called Old School Bagels right away to let them know, and Patty had been kind, understanding, and accommodating in getting this incident resolved right away.
Our experiences here have been nothing short of incredible in that the folks here not only serve real good grub, but made a lasting impression on us and in turn our small-town Vermont community as a whole.

Absolutely thrilled to see another great bagel shop in the area. We have been wanting to try it for a while and finally were driving through Fair Haven today, so we stopped in. Bagels and breakfast sandwiches were awesome, service was quick & friendly, and prices were very reasonable. Wish we lived closer!

It didn’t take long for people to figure this one out, i’m guessing they’ve only been open for a month. I love their bagels. They are excellent! The first few times in the Bakery there were a couple people in front of me in line, however today. There were 15 people in line and by the time I got up to pay there were 15 more behind me, But we all know it’s worth The wait. That should tell you about everything you need to know. This will be one of Fairhaven’s most popular stores!
