Ordering online was a bit of a pain, recommend just ordering in person. Bagels are loaded, and prices are very reasonable. Plenty of choices on menu and option to customize bagel. Lox bagel was good. Medium sized cafe has ample seating and lounge area available, outdoor patio seating available as well.

One of, if not the best, bagel option in the city. These staff here is incredibly nice and attentive. They always greet you with a smile.
The bagels are good but the absolute standout here is their drip coffee. Whatever coffee they use is incredible and it’s always fresh and warm.

Referring to location at 10946 N May: I’ve always loved Bagel Cafe. It’s long been a favorite of my family and friends. However, my experience today was beyond disappointing. Not only was my entire order incorrect (ordered 5 bagels), but my food was inedible because the bagels were burned so bad. I didn’t even want my bagel toasted to begin with! See attached pictures. The staff at the time were incredibly young and incompetent. I could barely understand the boy who answered the phone. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with the current staff. When I went to pick up my order, there was a customer yelling at one of employees for messing up his order. Another lady complained that she had been waiting on a bagel for 1 for over 30 minutes. I hope the Bagel Cafe I love takes the time to evaluate their employees and do better.

Pretty disappointed in the change in quality. I ordered a toasted bagel with egg and cheese, a fruit cup, and the honey almond cream cheese. The bagel was warmed but not toasted, making it a little wet and slimy. Their bagel selection is more limited than it used to be. The fruit cup was about half cantaloupe, otherwise the fruit was fresh, just a small portion for $5. The honey almond cream cheese is barely sweet, almost salty. Needs more honey. This is probably my last visit.

Definitely in my top faves for great bagels and quiet remote work spaces. They have seating inside and a patio for cool mornings. This place was such a vibe my fave is going to be the Avocado Sunrise on Onion Bagel

It’s not a super comfy location but there a plenty of seating. In the women’s restroom there is no purse or bag hook, even next to the diaper changing station so I feel like that’s a really important and easy thing they can fix.

Bagels are always good. I always get the plain ones sliced.
Service needs works. I understand a Saturday mornings would be busy. The line would move more efficiently if the employees put a little effort in to the service. Of course all the employees )that I saw anyway) are younger. A few of them gave me the impression that they were just there to get a paycheck. Just to get the job done. No, “hi”, no smiles, no effort in making me feel like a valued customer. Apparently they don’t get the Connection that they have no paycheck without customers.
Our bagels were cut way uneven- 3/4 on one side and 1/4 on the other. I mean I understand that they won’t be perfectly even but, really? All of them cut like this??
I felt like going back there and cutting and bagging my bagels myself.
The only reason I left 2 stars is because the bagels are good.

This was the first Old School Bagel I ever visited, and while the decor has changed since their 2020 remodel, the bagels and coffee are still amazing as ever!
I recommend the Avocado Sunrise on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. That’s still my go-to after all these years!
The Wasabi Bomb is also an awesome choice! The bite of the wasabi cream cheese and red onions pairs great with the smoked salmon!
Don’t miss out on the drip coffee they serve! It’s some of the best around!

Bagels just don’t seem to be quite same quality as years back but still mostly tasty..more about texture. Tend to run out of some popular flavors. Prices have definitely increased like most foods. 4 bagels w/cream cheese almost $25! Staff are cordial, polite but not particularly friendly. Customer service just not like it was 7- 10 yrs ago but times have changed. Miss the real fish tank tho “fireplace” can be cozy to sit next to.
