Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had was in Colorado, so walking into this place for the first time? Yeah… my expectations were sky-high.

At first, I’ll admit it threw me off a little because it’s tucked into a strip mall — but listen… “don’t judge a book by its cover” has never been more accurate. Because once the food hit the table, I was officially humbled (and very happily so).

I ordered the chicken street tacos with guacamole and chips, and my son went for the shrimp tacos. Let me tell you: everything was fresh, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Like, “why didn’t I come here sooner?” satisfying.

And it wasn’t just the food. The atmosphere was warm, the prices were super fair, and the owner personally greets you when you walk in — then continues checking in on every table like you’re a guest in his home. The staff was already great, but having the owner that involved made the whole experience feel extra special.

Bottom line: great food, great vibes, and you genuinely feel like family. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Your tastebuds will thank you.

I can’t tell if this was an off-night for them. I told the server I was trying to avoid whole onions. He assured me my order didn’t have any. He was wrong. I pointed out the issue to him a couple of times after the order arrived and he made no effort to make it right, offer a discount, etc. The burritos were so soggy, they were dripping. They arrived lukewarm, so the cheese on top wasn’t able to melt. Rice was OK. Black beans were very good, fantastic flavor.

Tasteful food with portions that are filling.
Food came out sizzling.

Good service. There were a couple of large groups in the dining room.

We really enjoyed our experience here. Prices are very reasonable and food was excellent. We ended up ordering too much food because the portions were so big. Highly recommended. Order the molcajete with seafood. It is delicious.

It was all right. The salsa was pretty yummy. Torta was fine, meat didn’t want to stay in but it wasn’t horrible or anything. We arrived a bit after the rest of the party so that might be why service was sporadic.

This is the third time we are visiting this place. The food is excellent, the patron is warm and welcoming right at the door. We have always had a great experience. We were a table of four. The server, Sandra, brought us menus but seemed preoccupied, as there was no greeting. I thought she was probably having a bad day and that it’s a hard job, so no matter but it would have been nice to get a smile. Anyway, preoccupied is the word, as we had to request and remind a couple of times. A little later, she lightened up a little and there was some interaction from her so all good.

The food as always is excellent! We got steak rancheros, guacamole dip half portion, spinach enchiladas and chicken tortilla soup.

The Micheladas are great too! A must order if you drink alcohol.

We agreed to leave a 20% tip as the food was good and the service picked up, if not as charmingly as we expected.

The bill was presented, swiped the card, and then as we proceeded to fill out the tip portion by hand, we noticed an extra line – gratuity was added at 15% for a table of four??? And not even circled out to make us aware. It’s the first time this restaurant did that and we suspect the server did it on her own. Normally, if it’s policy to build in gratuity, the server circles that line do the customer is aware. Luckily we saw that, and left another 5% in cash, and we pointedly drew an arrow to the built in gratuity so she was aware why we left the extra dollars, or she could have assumed that was all we were going to tip, which is not the case as we make it a point to tip decently where service warrants it.

Other than this, lunch and Ol Santa Fe are great as always!!

This place is amazing! The food is fresh, homemade and full of flavor. They make the best homemade salsa and taquitos EVER!!! We also had the steak fajitas for 2, which we highly recommend. Also, the service was excellent.

Pleasantly surprised by Old Sante Fe. The carne asada plate was excellent. Good salsa, drinks, and quick and tasty food. Fair price point. They also offer a solid happy hour. It kind of reminds me more of a sports bar than a Mexican restaurant, but that’s not such a bad thing.

The food was fantastic, and it was such a large portion size it fed me twice! The salsa is so good, and we had great service.

Old Santa Fe is our go-to when the extended family gets together – usually a party of 10. They always handle us well – the food is consistently excellent, the service always friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable with lots of TVs to keep an eye on the big game! Highly recommend the chimichangas.
