I’ve been coming here for years. I don’t drink alcohol so I always get soda. I usually order a few sodas to go with my meal. I’ve never been charged for soda refills before. Apparently they’re charging for soda refills now. I understand if this is their policy, however we weren’t notified by our server and it wasn’t indicated on the menu. I assumed soda refills were free since that is the case at most restaurants. We got a huge soda tab we weren’t expecting. Servers should notify customers of this policy or at the very least it should be notated on the menu. I would’ve ordered water if I had known the policy.

Great little bar and I do mean little this place is quite small inside. Went here for dinner with the family and had a great burger and a cold beer. Definitely will be back but if you go when it’s busy you may feel a little cramped.

Was not impressed by the wings. They’re not breaded but lacked seasoning and flavor. The ambience is a typical dive bar and the wait staff was not friendly. Plenty of other wing places to check out in the area

Went there on Saturday 6/4 waitress asked how many people? There were 9 of us. She said she had a table for us in 10 minutes. Went to the table and another waitress came and said sorry I have someone coming in who was seated outside. When we got seated we ordered food and waited for 4 more people to arrive. Two people with me got their food and me and my girlfriend didn’t yet. Rest of our party arrived and ordered their food. There food came but we still didn’t get ours . The original waitress who took our order came over an hour and fifteen minutes later and said, didn’t you get your food yet? An hour and thirty minutes later we finally got our food. She offered to take two beers off the tab for the inconvenience. I only had one beer. The roast pork was not that good. Chunks of pork were to thick. I would suggest to constantly check on your food order. It was not a good experience.

Visiting Jersey for a week due to work. First day at work, we look for a place to eat lunch.… Found the old rail Tavern. Nice little set up on the corner, not much parking… But it’s a nice little small town pub. Food was pretty phenomenal! One of the guys had a burger and chips, old fashion style chips. Another, old Bay fries… Delicious! Myself, Caesar salad, with some chicken. And boy was it delicious! My tab was under 15 bucks for a full meal, and a Gingerale, can’t complain. Nice little atmosphere. Also, if you look up, you’ll notice a bunch of dollar bills on the ceiling… Still wondering how they got up there because it is a high ceiling. Lol. Reading that, friendly service, and delicious food… Can’t go wrong!

948th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. A day of cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan and his New Castle Cronies. Old Rail Tavern is decorated a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. We also got the Philly Special. The Philly special was the star. $18 I’m not rushing back for the Philly Special. The Cheesesteak, Amigo Dan’s half was not as good as mine. I guess we’ll call it good but inconsistent.

First visit for our group of 4. We had 2 roast pork sandwiches with broccoli rabe & 2 roasted veggie sandwiches– they were just ok. Roast pork was served on a Kaiser roll which was drenched with juice making it mushy. My wife said the roasted veggies were overcooked & mushy & the bread was tasteless. My wife ordered a diet Coke which tasted like regular Coke, but the server argued that it was diet Coke, so my wife sent it back. When our food order was delivered by a different server, my wife asked for diet Coke & actually got what she ordered. At the end of our meal, my wife ordered another diet Coke from our server who returned with a regular Coke which my wife left on the table. It was a busy Satuday evening, packed with customers inside & outside, so perhaps the staff was a bit overwhelmed.
