This place has the best breakfast anywhere near Plainwell. It’s family-owned and run, and is a great example of a small town diner with character and absolutely delicious non-greasy food! Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Great service! Great food! Great prices! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Made you feel like an old friend. We happened upon this place as a second choice as we couldn’t get into our regular place. May have to make this place our new norm!

A nice friendly atmosphere. Service was great, very relaxed and not rushed. Staff is very friendly with great sense of humor and makes everyone feel welcome. Portion sizes are large and food is delicious. Staff and management are very accommodating to special requests off the menu.

Was a part of a group that converged here for breakfast this morning. The staff was very friendly and knew the menu and specials well.

However, the restaurant is outdated, dingey, and kind of musty. I ordered biscuits and gravy, overeasy eggs, and half an order of potatoes.

The potatoes were very good. Clearly made in house. Well grilled, but desparetly needed both pepper and salt.

The biscuits were decent, but the gravy was downright awful. Definitely came straight from a can or pouch. No depth of flavor whatsoever. The eggs that were supposed to be overeasy were between overmedium and overhard. About half the yoke was runny and half was rock hard.

If you specialize in breakfast but can’t properly prepare eggs over easy and use canned sausage gravy, I’m not sure what you’re doing. Adding to all of that was the speed of the food. We arrived at 9 and didn’t get it til 1015 because the food took 45 minutes from ordering. It’s not a large restaurant, maybe seating 60 people; I’m not sure what part of breakfast can possibly be that slow.

Lastly, I never enjoy a “local” restaurant that uses Sysco as a food distributor. Local restaurants should be utilizing west MI based food distribution if they really care about supporting local jobs, industry, and economy like they ask their patrons to do by supporting them.

We came from quite a ways away, and won’t be back. Too slow, too bland, and nothing close to spectacular food.

I came here and ran into a guitarist/singer I met in Shipshewanna. He played one of my favorite songs as I ate a nice breakfast. It was really a rather relaxing morning. 5/5.
