We decided to do a last minute “walk-in” on a Saturday night and I am so glad we did! Old Mediterranean Kitchen delivered such authenticity with their food, we will be adding this to our local favorites. Our server was Clark, he is an obvious master of his role and kept us laughing and smiling the whole time. We had 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 beers all for under $100 which felt pretty reasonable for the area. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Strolling in Bellevue looking for a warm, hearty, meat focused meal. This place checked everything in my list. Our server was very knowledgeable and descriptively introduced us to the menu. Me and my friends ordered his recommendations: lamb, beef shawarma, and a beef noodle. All three dishes were amazing and had a perfect portion size. Definitely coming back for the lamb shawarma.

Goodness, one of my favorite mediterranean restaurants in the Eastside, maybe all of the Seattle area. The entrees are so tender and flavorful, from the chicken tawook to the chicken or beef shawarma. We especially love the flavorful cabbage and onions that come with the shawarma dishes.

It’s a small but hard working operation, so you may wait a little but it’s worth it. Prices are reasonable for the large portions.

Sure it’s called “Old Mediterranean Kitchen” now, but this place has been a staple for us for about a decade. Food 10/10, staff 12/10, ambience 10/10. Chicken shish-tawook and a Zahra is the same order we’ve had for years and never disappoints. They also do catered take out which is nice. That lemon rice is amazing with the grilled chicken.

New favorite restaurant! The food here is absolutely incredible. We could not stop raving about every single dish we had. The service was amazing, very friendly and genuine. The portion sizes are huge – eat family style! The food is fresh and flavorful. The menu is huge. They start you off with a delicious lentil soup, pita and their house garlic sauce, and it will blow your mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food. The problem is that there are so many restaurants in this area that you could end up with some totally sub-par food. That said, Old Mediterranean Kitchen is an absolute diamond in the rough! I visited on a hot summer day when it was much nicer to sit outside than in. Their restaurant is very clean and well kept from what I observed. The patio area is pleasant and street side, but does share a space with a neighboring business. All this meant was that there were a lot of people coming and going. That did not bother me at all, as I was beyond enthralled with the quality and flavor of the excellent food here. After reviewing the awesome menu, I selected the salmon dinner. Immediately I was served pita with pita sauce, which was delectable. The salmon, when it came out only a short time later, was perfectly cooked. The dish was seasoned so well that I was reminded food can still have flavor, but also not so much so that you don’t taste the fish. Complimenting the chef, I was enticed to order their Baklava which I savored later that evening, and even the next morning. Service was amazing, the portion was massive and quality was excellent and very flavorful. Highly recommend this joint, and I will definitely be returning every time I’m in town. Go support this business!

We ordered the kafta kabob along with the shish taouk to share. When the dishes arrived, we were mistakenly served the combo platter instead. We immediately pointed this out, but the food runner initially tried to insist that it was what we had ordered since it included chicken, even though he isn’t the one who took our order.

Once the shish taouk was brought out, it was surprisingly very sour and spicy, quite different from the typical flavor profile we expected for this dish. Kafta was well seasoned and we did like it. Overall, the experience was a bit disappointing given the mix-up and the unusual taste of the food.

Old Mediterranean Kitchen catered our wedding and everyone loved it! The food was fresh and delicious. Clark was a great help in planning quantities and accommodating our schedule and detailed requests. We couldn’t believe the value we got. Definitely hiring him for catering any future parties. Make sure you try the salad dressing!

LOVED our lunch here today. It was our first time in Bellevue and I was on the hunt for a gluten free offering. This place ticked all my boxes. The gentleman working was so incredibly lovely. When I told him I was gluten free, he got me some veggies so I’d have something to try their vinaigrette with (vs pita). Both of our meals were so delicious. Definitely one of our best meals on this vacation.
