This is a very cute “mom & pop” place that has a story to tell. It is 100 years old where everyone knows your name. Cool decorations, good food and service. Stop in and check them out.

The Old Log Cabin on the north edge of Pontiac, IL still has that authentic Rt. 66 roadside diner look and feel. Nothing has changed very much at the Old Log Cabin in the last 70 years or more.
The food is very good, as long as you’re not looking for some fancy gourmet fare. Just plain good old diner food. Delicious!
The service is friendly and very down to earth. Nothing fancy about this place. Feels like home .

Not a big place. Not good for large groups only 1 table reserved for groups 6 plus. They don’t allow other tables to be moved together. Luckily we only had 5 join in our breakfast together. The decoration has a lot to say everywhere. The waitress was patient while we waited for possible other group members to join. She was attentive and the kitchen was pretty fast. Pancakes were large if you ordered a stack. Everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. Forgot pictures once again. Silly me. We probably won’t be back as a group due to group limitations but it is a good option if you want breakfast

Saturday Road Trip, ended at Old Log Cabin at 1:40p. I was going to get takeout, since my dog was in the car. But the staff insisted I bring him in. He was immediately given water and bacon. The staff was so friendly, the cheeseburger and tots delicious, and my dog and I will come back for seconds! Thanks for a great memory!

My mom and I recently stopped in a few days ago for some lunch since we were in the area. Our server was super friendly and the food was awesome! My mom almost started crying because the whole experience and atmosphere reminded her of her childhood in Wisconsin. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back with my father next time!

Good food. Great history. Will soon be 100 years old. On old Route 66. Original wooden walls and ceiling. They even have a booklet that tells the history of the restaurant.

Quaint little spot, One of the original Rt. 66 stops. Make sure you ask for the red folder, history stuff. Great service, Shannon was wonderful this morning. Food was good, MUST try the hash brown casserole ! KILLER! Just don’t get confused with sugar and salt dispensers, “doesn’t taste good in coffee!”
