If you are looking for something great value, this is not the place. On Monterrey level even, this place is expensive compared to what you get. It was tasty-ish…
I guess what you pay here is the amazing atmosphere for I thought I was in fact in Texas. The lightning, the stickers, the music, the bathroom, the counter, everything is talking about how much the owners invested into this place to be worthy to be called a Texas restaurant. Not to mention that the host was smiling to the ears and friendly to the fullest.
There was this pillow-throwing-to-the-hole game, great way to spend your time waiting for the food and enjoying the atmosphere.
I recommend this place in case you want to experience a little Texas without actually going over there, but if you are looking for a very tasty and not pricey food, this might be a skipper. Although I did not regret visiting this place.

It tastes less than the Terry BBQ and Interstellar BBQ we eat in the US. The softness of the meat and the barbecue sauce were a little disappointing. But it was nice to be able to feel that atmosphere without having to go all the way to the United States. The owner is also friendly.

Best barbecue in Nuevo Leon! Perfectly cooked. Very tender. Coleslaw was creamy and crunchy. Staff and owner are friendly, attentive, and helpful. The owner even brought us out some brisket burnt ends. Yummmmmm! Excellent value.

The burgers here are delicious! We have tried the side dishes and they are so good. The brisket, the chicken, the turkey and all is fantastic. Couple of gringos who miss Texas BBQ so we were so happy to find Old Jimmy’s and try to support them as much as we can because we like it very much!

Best BBQ in the whole of Mexico I promise you. Infact it was the best we’ve ever had Fernando was the greatest host ever he really knows his stuff and looked after us so well.
The location is great huge outdoor seating area perfect for chilling for a few hours, having a few beers and eating smoked meat! The brisket burnt ends are to die for they nearly made me cry, infact all the meat is the ribs the brisket the pulled pork, the sausage is a real treat aswell mmmmm. Even the sides are incredible the beans with the brisket, the corns, the mac & cheese the bread Dios mio I want to go back.
Thinking about its making me so hungry please do yourselves a favour and come visit here it’s such a good little spot.

Very friendly staff, the setting is superb, for a moment you feel you are right in Texas ⭐️. Portions are good size, we got the Grampa’s special. The only downsides were my half chicken tasted ‘heated up’. Wasn’t served hot and the place could be cleaned up a bit, lots of stuff throw about on exit. Also, no beer in stock ( we went on a Saturday 4ish) . Still, I give this place 5 stars, best barbecue and atmosphere in the area.

This is the closest you’ll feel to home barbecue. Their meats are masterfully seasoned and smoked. The side dishes steal the show, especially the Mac and cheese.

The food is delicious. The brisket was moist and juicy. The pulled pork is also very good. I tried all the sides: corn, mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese; all great. It’s as if you’re in Texas. I have been eating BBQ in Texas (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio) all my life and this place was awesome. I highly recommend it.
