Reviews
They make their own corn tortillas as well and they are addictive. Portions were large. I couldn’t finish all the food. Fun and clean atmosphere as well. I will be back.
This place used to be the spot to go to to get really good food at an awesome price and for a good amount. I’m not sure what happened if it changed owners, but I would advise not to go there. Ordered take out for a few coworkers and I to have lunch. Spent $88+ on a meal that was not even full. As pictured they now ration your food. I understand times are hard and prices are up, but no reason to charge more and give you less doesn’t add up. Didn’t realize until after I got back to work. I called them up right away and asked how in the world they could charge $3.99 for 4 pieces of fried plantains. The manager told me that is what his boss told him to put on the plate. Your best bet is to give business to another restaurant like old house 2. Won’t be going back there other than to get my money back.
Drink options however, need to be expanded. Located in a quiet, idyllic neighbourhood, it wasnt so busy when I visited. Parking lot is small but there is definitely a lot of available street parking with good viewing thereof, from inside.
All in all, a great experience for my first morning in Connecticut.
I like Peruvian food, and if you do too and are nearby, definitely go check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.
Decent food but illegally charging customers more for using a debit card. Report if you see similar charges on your bill when debit used.
Food
Garanachas 5/5
Lomo mixto 3/5 – where did the juice go? Seasoning?
Horchata 3/5 – prefer in house made. Tasted artificial instead of natural.
Bill. 1/5. – portions look good. Restaurant charging extra for debit card use not good. It’s not permitted in CT so this is a warning to all customer visitors.
Not sure will be back. Hope cooks have better dedication to every single dish going outside their kitchen. Taste your food. My food tasted flat.
