Great food and Service. Nice selection of cuts and they dry age on-site. Vibes of fine dining Old Florida Cracker style, suspended high up in the middle a swamp. Very cool theme. Courses were spaced out perfectly, and the staff was very attentive and polite. Steak was prepared correctly and was better than anticipated. Accompaniments were excellent as well. Kid friendly and menus were available as most Orlando themed places.

Old Hickory was a perfect spot to eat dinner after checking in at the hotel (Gaylord Palms), I would recommend to have reservations to eat here, as there was a long line to check in but as soon as we got checked in, they led us to our table and we had the nicest server… very knowledgeable and super friendly. Our food was excellent, appetizers were crab cake which was delicious… they brought out an amazing selection of breads…we had steak, potatoes au gratin, creamed corn, and the salads were all so tasty and delicious!! Highly recommend!!

I wish I could give this establishment greater than five stars! The ambience as you walk up already sets the mood. We are here on a Thursday and this is the least populated we’ve ever seen here at the hotel. This time of year seems to be ideal to come. The staff was fantastic. Start to finish. David was an excellent server and made great recommendations. We came for my son‘s 10th birthday. We had the crab cake appetizer which had a bounty of a lump crab meat topped with foam and caviar. It’s a must! Ryan went for the typical kids, chicken fingers and fries. But once he saw the Wagyu ribeye that my sister and I were splitting, he switched for us and started eating her steak. Best steak, any of us have ever had! The truffle potato wedges were stellar! Or dessert Ryan got the carrot cake and it was just as phenomenal as the rest of the meal. It’s an expensive meal, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Everything about this meal from the quality of food, the high level of service, and the ambience made this a meal to remember.

It was my wife’s Birthday Celebration and she asked to attend Ice at Gaylord Palms. We made a mini vacation, mid-week, and enjoyed the many activities offered.
This year we decided to splurge on her dinner at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it !!!
The place opens at 5:30 in the evening and my only complaint is the greeters totally ignore the slowly growing crowd while they set up their station.
That aside, once seated at the table we were greeted by our waiter and then his assistants who were thorough, but not overbearing. The drinks were always filled and our comfort was job 1.
The breads were delicious and each meal was surprisingly good. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and could be cut with my fork…so tender.
While the food was delicious, our waiter, Said B., was awesome. Friendly, informative and a pleasure to meet. He truly made my wife’s night the hit it was.
At the end, he brought us a large piece of carrot cake with a candle on it. If you look at the picture, it was totally edible. The orange medallions were made from chocolate as was the Happy Birthday sign. The little orange rolled logs were real “ sweet “, thinly sliced rolled carrots. What a

We had a wonderful dining experience at Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the Gaylord Orlando. The steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, paired beautifully with a great selection of wine. We also enjoyed dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, and the service was attentive without being rushed. Overall, an excellent evening — highly recommend for anyone looking for a special dinner while staying at the resort!

This place is amazing!!! If you’re a local you better not miss it, if you’re staying at the Resort make time for it. It is a dining experience unlike any other. From the sourdough rolls, to the salads, the appetizers, and then the steak entrees. There is no such thing as a bad meal here. When you’re finished you can walk around the beautiful gardens, shops, and see the alligators. All indoors . Our server was Jay and he was phenomenal, never a dry glass and helpful with the menu and all selections. He even asked twice about food allergies to be safe.
You will most likely need a reservation and they use open table, they do offer walk up seating as it becomes available So one more time, don’t miss this gem of a restaurant or JAY!

We visited during a conference at Gaylord Palms and were absolutely blown away by the dining experience.

Food: Outstanding! Every detail was thoughtfully executed. One of our favorite touches was the honeycomb-shaped butter served with honey from their own on-site bees—we noticed the bee boxes as we drove in, and it made the meal feel even more special.

Pro tip: Make a reservation if you can. But if you don’t have one, it’s worth checking for availability or grabbing a seat at the bar.

This isn’t the place for a rushed dinner. If you’re in a hurry or headed somewhere after, plan accordingly. This is a place to sit back, slow down, and enjoy the food, conversation, and atmosphere. It’s a full experience—beautifully paced, never rushed, and perfect for a memorable night out.

Service: Friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. You can tell they value the overall dining experience, not just getting tables turned.

Malbec from Argentina: I savored every sip. Paired it with the mushroom sauce and bread—pure heaven.

Old Fashioned: My husband said it was the best he’s had in a long time (he ordered a second one!).

From the chef to the servers to the management—kudos! Your hard work and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re at the hotel.

I have to say this has been my best dining experience to date in the Orlando area. I thought I had the best steak at Bull and Bear but this beat it!! The dry aged steak was cooked to perfection and the taste was on another level! The cheese board and charcuterie is a must! The service was excellent. Everything was impeccable and we can’t wait to return!
