This is small restaurant as far as BBQ goes but it makes up for it in flavor, flavor, flavor. We had the ribs and riblets and they were delicious. Not too smoky and so very tender. You order at the counter and the staff call your number. This is our new favorite BBQ now so we will definitely be back.

First time visiting, I’ll always get the three meat dinner. The brisket was very disappointing, flavorless, no spices, nor smoke, and was steamed before before being smoked. The ribs were good at the highest point. The chicken was decent with a little heavy on the mop sauce. The beans were mushy and little flavor. The potato salad has potential. The toast was the highlight of the meal because I asked for extra butter.
It’s midday on a Saturday and the front parking lot is empty…that was the first hint that I ignored.

Love this place! The BBQ is super tasty and the portions are big enough for two. Totally worth the price, and the servers are always nice and helpful

This was my first time here. I ordered a variety of the food To go before the winter storm was supposed to come in. I order several half pound meets, a fancy baked potato, and coleslaw. The sausage and bbq sauce is really good. I can’t complain about any of the items. I would definitely eat here again. Still so many items to try.

Try it for yourself but probably the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. The meat isn’t smoked or seasoned. The sides were below average. The peach cobbler was my biggest concern. My family just didn’t enjoy it. We spent $60. There is plenty of parking out front.

I tried this location and restaurant for the first time, June 14th. I ordered three meals ( brisket plate, sausage plate and rib plate) and three desserts (two peach cobblers and one lemon meringue pie to go. The meals come with two sides. When I arrived home, there was an issue with one of my sides. I immediately contacted the restaurant, and their customer service was top-notch! They resolved the issue and sent me a gift card. I used the gift card a few days later at another location on Brasewood and ordered some different items. The food was even better! Ribs were exceptional at both locations. Peach cobbler was definitely different from mine, and the lemon meringue pie was tasty!

so the people there was nice! very nice folks and the atmosphere is fine. With that said the meat was extremely dry. the brisket was way dry and im not sure whos the pit master there is but they need to relearn how to smoke a brisket cause it just wasnt there, the sausage was good though i give it that. the potatoe salad are very good too.

I recently came into the Old Hickory Inn. I placed an order to go. I ordered a sliced beef brisket sandwich. I wasn’t very pleased with it. The meat seemed very dry and it was very hard to chew. I had been there before and at that time the meat was very moist and tasty in a sandwich.

Decent BBQ although brisket was a little dry. Reasonable prices, but they went up in the past few months by about $1 for dinners. Large servings. Comparing to Spring Creek down Hwy 6, they are $2 cheaper for a brisket plate. And you don’t have to pay extra to choose onion rings, fries or okra as a side here. But they don’t come around offering fresh baked bread like SC. And SC has a lunch special that makes a brisket plate about the same price as here. I think the brisket and sausage is just a little more tasty at SC, but both are really good. Worth a try for sure!

They got one of those new machines at the register that forces you to say “no tip”, which I hate! Why should I be pressured to tip when I order at the counter and pick up my own order?

Ive stayed in missouri city on and off since 2000 and i have never been here before. All the food looks better than it taste. I ordered the sausage link sandwich and a chopped beef sandwich also the two meat combo the ribs and brisket. The sausage is cooked great but bland like no salt. The brisket was dry and flavorless. the chopped beef was awesome very good, the mac n cheese also bland and the mash potatoes no salt. over all the food needs flavor and that brisket idk. I would come back for the chopped beef but nothing else
