Wow! What a nice nostalgic inn and restaurant we unexpectedly found while driving sightseeing. Stopped in and had a most delicious homemade lunch with of the upmost most kindest politest woman server. Took pictures of what I had but forgot to take pic of the gazpacho soup which had chunky veggies and tasted awesome! I had the special of the day of sweet potato tostadas and then coconut crème pie. Shared with my bff companion! They sell lotsa homemade Vermont items too! You’ve just gotta stop by and check it out! All foods are homemade and exceptionally delicious !!!! We sat out on the porch to have lunch. Snapped a pic of a man standing in middle of street with his guitar and belongings trying to hitch a ride after coming off the trail hiking. Nobody ever gave him a ride, so he started walking up the street onto Route 100 along an extremely narrow shoulder. I hope he was safe and eventually got to his destination. Never saw such a sight before so thought it would just be interesting to share this.

We stopped by this place for food during our road trip, drawn in by the sign outside that promised “Good Food”. Unfortunately, the cuisine didn’t live up to the claim. Although the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was decent, the food was a letdown. The chicken was dry and stale, the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard, and the side of rice was undercooked. This meal was one of the worst we had on our entire trip. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

What an absolute gem! The food was all made from scratch with fresh, local ingredients, and you could really taste the difference. The real maple syrup was such a treat, and everything on the plate was absolutely delicious. The prices were unbelievably affordable for the quality—we were blown away. Honestly, I’d go back to Hancock just to enjoy breakfast here again. Highly recommend!

You can’t afford to drive by. Cheapest menu prices I’ve seen in a while. Post 12 mile hike I was in need of protein, sugar, and caffeine. I sat down at the bar, looked over and saw fresh burger meat just turned into perfect burger patties. That sold me. Got the Hotel Burger (fully loaded), upgraded the chips to fries, and got a can of Coke. The mom and daughter that run this place are very kind to and grateful for their patrons. I was grateful for WiFi so I could finally connect to GPS. I grabbed the cheapest large to-go coffee I’ve ever bought and was on my way home. You can’t miss out on the cheap prices and the friendly service. I would stop again.

Old but famous hotel on the scenic Vermont routes at the intersection of route 100 and route 125. Tried coffee and some fresh baked pastries and it’s great. The interior gives the ancient feel but neatly maintained by all the friendly staff here.

Hands-down one of the best homemade meals I’ve had on this road trip, if not ever. Generous portions, efficient service, and sticker shock in the most pleasant way. Do yourself a big favor and eat here!

Had another great lunch at The Old Hancock Hotel and listened to local musician Clay Canfield on the front porch. You should try him out any Saturday afternoon between 3:00 – 5:30.

The food is fantastic! I like that you can get either breakfast or dinner . My highlight of my trips to VT is the Sunday buffet! If you leave Hungary it’s your own fault. Love the friendliness and the local atmosphere.

We had a great lunch and sat outside and enjoyed July in Vermont. What an amazing spot. The food was delicious. My 2 year old had the blueberry pancakes and destroyed them. Nice beer selection, key lime pie too! We will be back, Nothing was open in Rochester just down 100 and I glad for that, we found this little gem.
