No-frills, fast-casual spot serving the best guilin rice noodles in this part of town. Most of the patrons were Chinese.
There’s a self-service bar of pickles, chilies and crispy toppings for your bowl of noodles or rice. Their specialty is the Guilin Rice noodles, which comes with sliced pork and crispy pork belly. It’s a delicious combinations of flavors and textures.
The ladies working behind the counter are very sweet and friendly. Mandarin and English speaking.
BONUS: no tipping here! You can eat well for around $16 and serving sizes are pretty generous.

Delicious brisket noodle. Fair amount of tendon/fat but I picked around it and the meat was delicious. Toppings like mustard greens and fried soy beans were perfect as condiments and made the noodles taste great. Loved the vinegar chile oil cucumber. Egg roll just okay. Clean dining room and friendly ladies at the counter. Cleanliness of the floor (greasy, bug) in the bathroom area needs improvement. Broth was helpful for mixing noodles, but when cooled down it had a powder taste. Stick with ice water. I will definitely come back for noodles.

We had a wonderful lunch at Old GUI Lin after our Tahoe trip. Their servers were super friendly and the food was amazing. Recommend to try A1, soy milk (sweeten) and veggie! As we drove home, I still crave for their soy milk and regretted that I didn’t get another one with me.
Environment was clean and comfy as well! They are also dog friendly! Highly recommend!

We dropped in for Lunch just before it got busy. The ladies in the front were very nice and welcoming. We ordered a Beef brisket Rice noodle bowl and a Beef brisket rice bowl, on the side we got the Cucumber Salad and Special Pancake. Come hungry because these portions are Big!! Everything we ordered was so good, we definitely over ate lol. We will be back to try other items!!!

This shop was busy when I came in for lunch on a weekday, but my food and drink came out quickly. I ordered the Gui Lin rice noodles and fruit tea.
The bowl comes out plain, just meat and noodles with broth on the side, and you add as many toppings as you like. Their condiment bar has roasted peanuts and soybeans, pickled green beans and Chinese pickled cabbage, marinated radish, mild red peppers, chili oil, bamboo, cilantro, green onions, and vinegar. My neighbor at the table recommended I just add everything, and one of the employees kindly explained what each of the toppings were when I went up to the bar. The Gui Lin noodles come with crunchy, fatty fried pork pieces and a variety of other cuts that went nicely with the toppings, especially the pickles. The noodles were smooth and bouncy.
The fruit tea was fresh, citrusy, and lightly sweet with bits of strawberry and pineapple, absolutely delicious.

Great experience overall. I cannot comment on the authenticity of the taste of Guilin noodles since the flavor is hard to mimic. As someone who grew up with eating all sort of rice noodles, I’d say this place is good enough, but definitely didn’t fall in authentic Guilin noodle. I still give this place 5-star for the menu since they carry quite a bit of dishes and we had a great time here. This restaurant also did not enforce tips like many other chinese restaurants, which made the atmosphere even lovelier. This part is great, because we absolutely against those tip police in other chinese restaurants.
Would revisit this place if we ever travel down to Sac in the future.

It’s a local small rice noodle restaurant, authentic and tasty. Most likely self service after you ordering from the counter, and they note that you don’t need to pay tips. It has a mini bar for add-ons , you can choose all those items for your noodle or rice without paying extra. Portion is not that big but overall worth a try, and I actually like it. Will come back if I’m visiting around.

Authentic Chinese 米粉 (similar to pho) with rich broth and fresh toppings. Loved the free side dishes—pickled veggies, herbs, and sauces to mix in! Great taste, generous portions, fast service, and good prices. A must-try for noodle soup lovers!

Total Self-service, no tip was expected either. I like that. Very friendly people. Good food. Highly recommend trying the rice noodle, very smooth yummy. A7 pork rib soup was delicious. The beef roll pancakes were surprisingly good. B3 and B19 were good. B11 was ok, didn’t like the tofu was served cold. I didn’t like the egg drop corn soup as it was plain, but not bad though. Recommend come a bit early. The place was packed at noon.

Affordable Chinese beef bowl. Reminds me of the food at the airport on layovers in Hong Kong. They give good portion per bowl and offer free toppings such as peanuts, chili oil, green onion, etc. The toppings add good flavor to whatever you order. We ordered A15 with pork braised bowl with rice and A3 braised beef with noodles. Beef was a bit tender than I’m used to, especially with beef bowls. We also ordered beef pancake, which is also good and best to share. I think all the bowls have a bit of similar flavor. As far as drink, no sodas only soymilk drinks or tap water. I would come back to try the other dishes such as veggies and dessert.
