Unrivaled but approachable, The Gas House is unlike any restaurant in Fort Wayne. Settled in a historic gas plant in the core of our unique downtown, the character of the ambiance matches the top-tier experience of each meal.
With an easy swank and an open atmosphere, we’re perfect for lunch, for dinner, for leisure.
Sleek atmosphere for steak & seafood fare inside a 19th-century gas plant, plus a riverbank patio.

Went on Sunday around 7. The salad was good, filet was excellent, the roasted chicken sandwich was the best i have ever had, french fries were good, bread was phenomenal and the beer was cold. I had a plumberry drink that was really good. I forget the waitresses name but she is in the top 5 waitresses we have had. The place just kind of puts you in a good mood. The others customers seemed to be enjoying the food/atmosphere as well. We wore jeans and camo. It is a nice restaurant with nice restaurant prices but didnt feel out of place in jeans. We will be back.

I expected better with the food to be honest. The gumbo was very bland at best; there was zero flavor other than the raw flour and heavy oil flavors. No seasoning, no heat (in spite of the server’s bragging), and honestly not worth eating.
Also, I’ve never had jambalaya with more of a risotto texture, (in addition to having raw carrots and zucchini in it ), but at least the flavor was better than the gumbo. The ambiance, however, was excellent, and the little alcove was absolutely charming.

Best steakhouse in Fort Wayne no doubt. Excellent prices, the bread is delicious as well. The sweet potato soufflé is a must for a side.

My husband took me to the Gas House for my birthday, it was the first time I had ever been there and it did not disappoint! We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, it was amazing! I could have easily filled up on just that and the bread it came with. For my main dish, I had the jambalaya, which was pretty good, and the Brussels sprouts were absolutely amazing. The only thing I didn’t care for was the gumbo, but honestly, the rest of the meal more than made up for it.
My husband ordered a steak and was a little hesitant at first since he’s never gotten a steak at a restaurant before, but he loved it. He also raved about the macaroni, and the fries were solid too.
We finished the night with the German chocolate cake, which was perfection. Not too sweet, not too rich, just right. Perfect. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back!

5 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have been here many times in my life to celebrate some special events. This place is so fancy✨️❤️ and i love it . The food is exquisite, the service is 5 Stars, top notch, and the atmosphere is quite lovely . I love how it is downtown and the indoors is cool. I like how cozy✨️ it is in here to come in the wintertime❄️✨️ or spring ⚘️ . The bathroom is really pretty in here as well. There is plenty of parking outside and street parking. Upstairs, there is Takioka, a Japanese restaurant. The outdoors is really pretty too. 5 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall.

It’s great to still see some of these old school restaurants still around and serving impeccable food. Really good steak dinner. The Delmonico was cooked perfectly and the creamed spinach and asparagus sides were very good. Would definitely come back for a special occasion.

So many delicious items were offered on the lunch menu. The crabcakes are amazing! A salad with strawberries, pecans and black currant sauce set me up for anything they offered because it was delicious. I highly recommend the tuna. I had a couple bites of it and it is extraordinary. It was full of flavor and cooked a perfect perfection. The prices are very reasonable for the atmosphere and quality, presentation of the food.

Incredible steak, the quality was unexpected! Wonderful drinks and appetizers were also out of this world. Service was slow but it was very busy. Will definitely return

Had a great lunch here. Noticed this place last year when we stopped next door at Club Soda. Seemed like it had some history behind it, and those are the type of places I enjoy dinning at. The lunch menu was quite large and the prices were fairly reasonable. Went with the gumbo as a side since they seem to be known for that. I didn’t find it to be the greatest, and was surprised it had no rice in it. The waitress offered to bring me something different, but I ate it anyway, might just be me that didn’t care that much for it. The pecan crusted tilapia was kinda bland unless you used the sauce provided, but was still good. My girlfriend had a cheeseburger and said it was pretty good. I’d definitely stop back again though.

Stopped in Friday night for dinner. You can tell on arrival that this place has some history. We took a seat in the back tables by the bar. The drinks were a flowing! We ordered the Texas Mule and the Swizzle Old Fashioned drink (came with bacon!). We started out with an order of the crab cakes. They were delicious! For entrees, we ordered the Jambalaya and the brisket sandwich. Both were excellent, but the Jambalaya was cooked to perfection! The service was attentive. Great experience!
