A fun and convenient stop right by Old Faithful. The store has a great selection of souvenirs, snacks, and drinks, plus a nice variety of Yellowstone-themed gifts. Prices are on the higher side (as expected in the park), but the convenience makes it worth it. The atmosphere feels historic and cozy, and it’s a good spot to browse while waiting for the geyser to go off.

The people are very nice and clearly work hard. The line moved quickly, the food was hot and mostly good, prices are lower for the area, and it hit the spot. Decor was also nice.
I give 4 stars because the layout of the tables is very crowded and difficult to get in and out (not good for big groups who want to eat inside), there was always a line at the soda fountain, the chicken tenders had some fatty/hard spots, and the elk brat was really tough (hard to bite a piece off).
Overall, it was decent.

If you want a chicken sandwich that was in a warmer for 20 minutes and pay $6 for a half of a cup of chili then come here. I asked them to fill it up and they said they just ran out. Come for the view but pack your own lunch.
Edit. So o went back up and talked to the manager and he gave us a good cup to roasted tomato soup

The General Store has most everything you could be looking for in an NP store – trinkets, clothes, camp gear, clearance items, and a cafe serving hot food. And the cafe’s food was decent.. What we liked most though were the free soda refills – excellent on a hot day!!

Did not eat here only browsed the store. It was very busy and hard to maneuver through. Not big selection of plus size shirts. Could not find my husband’s size. Prices are bit high. Bathrooms small had wait in line for only 2 stalls for huge crowds.

The place was packed and the lines long. A worker walked the line and checked if anyone ordered hot food so they could prepare the food so customers did not have to wait in line with those just needing ice cream. We ordered the huckleberry ice cream, a chili dog, and a bison bratwurst.
I was disappointed that they did not allow samples but I can understand with the long lines. Also wish they had shredded cheese and chopped onions to add to the chili cheese dog and brat; overall everything was still good especially the ice cream.
Definitely a stop to make for shopping and eating. It will be tough to find a place to sit but you may be lucky to find a seat outside or picnic table.

Much like any other national park store. Lots of souvenirs at very high prices. There is also a food counter, but I didn’t eat there. There are restrooms, etc.

O hVe only ever one time on my life put in negative review on food. I’m ex military and almost anything osbetterthan some of the food we got. With that said we are a family of 6 and ordered a bit of everything. The 1/4 pound cheeseburger was not 1/4 pound AND it was so over cooked it was worse than a cardboard box. The chicken tenders were so over cooked the chicken was hard inside the breading. The French fries are actually a good size but cold.

It is always super crowded here because of its proximity to Old Faithful. They are usually well stocked earlier on the day, but run out of several items as the day goes on. Usually crowded and hard to move through, especially immediately following an eruption at Old Faithful.
