Everything was good. The food tasted great. The portions were quite large.
The service was awesome, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
️ The interior has those old-school diner vibes: very basic in the best way. The whole place felt very nice and clean.
The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes.
️ Parking was easy since there’s free parking on site. We had no trouble finding a spot right away.
The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. You can tell they stay on top of it, which we really appreciated.

Best place in town for an awsome breakfast or lunch, food was hot and my home fries were perfectly crispy. Everyone was so nice.

My wife and are from out of town and were looking for a good breakfast place near Hobe Sound. We googled and read reviews, and decided to try Old Dixie Cafe North. The atmosphere is that of a typical small hometown diner. I ordered the French Toast, which came warm-ish and barely battered, such that it tasted and had the texture of more like coated sliced bread than french toast. My wife had pecan waffles, which came out luke warm, overcooked, and sprinkled with pecan pieces. I had a side of sunny side eggs which were done nicely. The bacon was thin but tasted good. The staff was friendly, but our server disappeared on us mid meal and we eventually had to chase down another server to get our check so we could leave. All in all, our visit was so-so, not near as good as we had hoped given the reviews we read. We realize that our experience might not have been their best effort, but even on a good day it’s hard to imagine their earning 4.5+ stars.

What an excellent place to get southern style food cooked to perfection. A little taste of home. Pleasant workers are in abundance in this establishment. Kudos to the management. Our server Nicole was the best, and on her recommendation, we will come in and try breakfast. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

Great breakfast spot!! Yum!! I’ve had most of the menu over the years and it’s always yummy. Pecan pancakes!! Eggs over medium. I don’t really love their potatoes so I do an English muffin or grits.
If they got a really good seasoned home fries with onions for greasy flavor that would be great. Their current potatoes are just really dry.

Good spot for reasonably priced breakfast. Staff checks how your table.is doing multiple times. Food came quickly. Reasonable portions. Pancakes were soggy. Everything else was fine.

I have come here many times at breakfast and this was my first time for 5pm dinner on Saturday. We ordered four meals and two meals came out cold: The meals were: French toast and eggs with home fries and toast. Because of time crunch to attend Hobe Sound Singing Christmas Tree, I only returned the french toast. When I called the next day the manager apologized but never offered a free meal for the issues. My friends were first time visitors and might not return. My advice would be: don’t order breakfast at night. My friend said her Mahi wrap was good. Hire more people for dinner. Service was slow & we left disappointed

The fries & chicken panini were good. The panini was a little toasty, but still good. The waitress was great. Cute diner. It smelled like cigarette smoke to me though, not sure if it was just an old odor or what exactly.

This diner is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is classic and welcoming, but the real highlights were Ms.Lisa and the breakfast burrito. Ms.Lisa is an absolute rockstar—so friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel at home. She didn’t miss a beat and made sure everything was perfect.
Chef Mo’s breakfast burrito? Easily the best I’ve ever had. It was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and had just the right amount of spice. You can tell a lot of love and skill goes into the food here.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Great service, great food, great vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

Big breakfast at a good price! Couldn’t ask for more. Eclectic mix of young and old make Old Dixie Cafe North a great place for a Sunday breakfast with the family.
